Having the financial means to access driving lessons is probably accessible to the majority of the population. Whereas having the financial means to send your children to private school is reserved for the wealthy.

    There's a huge difference.

But perhaps more than that, is the ideological culture that goes along with a private education, which usually means better access to the top jobs and favours from those 'in the club'

    <laugh> ffs

I'm in the system for sure, we all are. But that's got **** all to do with whether private schools should pay VAT. Which they should.

I could argue on, but I've realised this is on the Burley, so I'll shut up now, but strongly disagree with you.

Road Tax is a con, introduced to fund road and motorway infrastructure but not anymore, just a part of the car cash cow

What annoys me tho is my previous car did 25 mpg and was not ULEZ compliant, Road Tax £180 a year,. car over 40 yrs old no road tax and no ULEZ charges

With my new cheaper insurance I now pay more in road tax than Insurance, servicing and MOT combined

    Marnin btw

Sick as a dog today. Picked up some virus over the weekend and feel like a hot and cold shivering turd.

Got sent downstairs to the sofa bed last night coz I was snoring and coughing. Women don't understand how deadly this man flu can be.

There’s a severe norovirus going around. Heard it wipes you out for a week if you get it

Feel for the people in Valencia after that flood. I've seen the live cameras/interviews and it's just a total mess, cars tossed about mud and water in people's homes, let alone the fatalities. Seeing people now, just trying to shovel the mud back out their homes, absolute mammoth task.

Suppose that's one of the dangers of living alongside a river, which has even taken the bridges out. Not sure I would have the energy to start again, but people have to live and don't have any other choices so you just kick on and get on with it. Bucket, shovel, broom and the blessing of sun to dry some of it out.

Yeah, awful for those involved anywhere in the world. One of those blue moon events but eventually it will happen.
