it is now two weeks since my nightmare journey through London and still no begging letters from London Boroughs so I must have just kept within all the rules and zones I have just renewed the insurance on my Jaguar XK 4.2, a month or so I received a large refund on last years policy and this year for Fully Comp, protected No Claims and Legal Assistance in any claim for £300 per YEAR, sometimes it pays to stay with Churchills Insurance
why'd you get a large refund? lol my insurance on the Q5 is ****ing 800 quid and the car tax is 600 quid
I had to ditch my Touareg when the car tax went up to £645. The Caddy van I've got now is reasonable to run and insure and I've just paid £210 for insurance with AA breakdown cover. Not sure how Duggie got a refund though ? Is that even a thing when it comes to insurance companies ?
i had one recently but that was because they had calculated my premium incorrectly so i had been overcharged - iirc Duggie was the same but he got far more than me to make up for losing the winter fuel allowance
Probably something to do with 20 yrs No Claim Bonus and now I am retired doing under 5,000 miles a year
I like things like ending the inheritance tax exemption on farms worth more than £1m. That's one of the things for years that wealthy landowners have used to dodge tax with. I expect their tax experts will be working overtime tonight to try and work out how many of these loopholes have been closed.
Rachel Reeves says money raised from VAT on private schools will be used to “provide the highest quality of support and teaching” for the bulk of pupils who learn in state schools. This is exactly what you want to see a Govt doing
