I wonder who's going to be the first dopey sod shocked when they find despite the lack of a tax increase on beer, the prices have gone up to pay for employers NI and the increase in minimum wage?
What money of yours are they stealing, out of interest? As I see it the recovery of the missing £40 billion that the Tories are responsible for (Track & Trace) is largely being met by Employers NIC - so won't be paid for from the wages of working people ... If you are wealthy enough to have investments in shares or other capital assets, you will only pay increased tax if your gains on sales are over £3,000 per annum ... again won't hit the wages of working people ... VAT on private school fees - not before time - if you can afford to put your kid in private school etc etc ... What's not to like?
From what I've heard mate, there is not much to be gained from VAT on private school fees, not sure if that's correct or not, but a couple of articles on it worth a read... https://hillierhopkins.co.uk/insight-posts/labours-plan-to-end-vat-exemption-for-private-schools/ and they ^ refer to these: https://www.adamsmith.org/news/appl...-school-fees-could-cost-as-much-as-16-billion It's of no concern to me, but just curious who's right and who's telling the truth in all this, not meaning you personally btw.
Ed Davey just commented that Rachel Reeves faces an "enormous task" as the Conservatives left an "appalling economic legacy" ... Ain't that the truth ...
Try not recklessly spunking £22bn on carbon capture bullshit. Try not sending £11bn to Africa climate aid Try not spending £8bn housing migrants from bongo-bongo land. There's your £40bn right there and that's before you nuke the NHS.
They plan to give all the illegals access to the benefit system & pretend they are saving money, because they can hide the expenditure as welfare .
Government's own figures (fom the Independent Institute of Fiscal Sudies) estimate that the changes will raise between £1.3 - £1.5 billion per annum ...
Just about every figure this Government has put forward has turned out to be miscalculated at best and lacking due consideration of the wider consequences, and more than likely dishonest. They are totally incompetent.
... what would you do about the missing Track & Trace billions? ... I'm for deporting Boris, Hancock and the rest to Rwanda... has a certain poetic Karma to it
... to quote Ed Davey again ... the Conservatives left "an appalling economic legacy" ... but it's the Labour Government that is incompetent.... Funny as ****!!!
The Budget will "wipe the slate clean on the fiscal fiction" of the previous government ... Faisal Islam (BBC Economics Editor).
can you not see whats happening? in 5 years it will be starmer and reeves did x, y, z, as the new party gets their turn of raping, and on and on till the billionaires become immortal cyborgs and finally wipe the plebs out entirely
So I read that as: Thank goodness we got rid of the corrupt, incompetent, self-serving, nepotistic Tories - nothing else can possibly be quite that bad. ... and I agree
with press propaganda and control of information it was possible to form the prototypical large parties, there were always two or three groups that appeared to be fighting against each other, but in reality were all hanging on a gold thread and everything was adjusted to a peculiar human characteristic that man gets tired of something he has had for a long time, he wants something new, and so two parties were needed, one of them rules and the other one forms the opposition when one party is played out, the opposition party comes to power and the played out party now takes it turn as the opposition, after 20 years the new party becomes played out and the game repeats itself anew in reality, this is certainly an ingenious meal in which the interests of a nation are ground down
