Exact point I was making earlier. We need to be setting the pace and not spending another season hoping teams ahead of us slip up. One of those nine win in a row jobs would come in handy
I just worry where our goals are going to come from on a consistent basis as we create enough chances.
Depends on who you think we are losing ground too, plenty of the top 6 only managed draws, mainly home games too. Draw away win at home, throw in the odd away win and we’ll be comfortable
I guess I’m making a similar point to Eire, we need to put a run of wins together rather than relying/hoping others drop points.
Exactly we do our stuff the rest don't matter. If we can't put the points on the board we don't deserve to be there. off topic as for Supporters now on Social Media sounding out Soloman saying he should go back to Spuds really need to shake their heads once he's proper fit hes head and shoulders above anyone in our team. I just don't know what some of our supporters want who they wanting Messi? he's not match fit he's played less than a handful of games and now he aint good enough ffs. Yeah lets send him back and we will go grab a even better winger from the prem reality check we are in the championship we should be happy he's even here never mind sending him back.
It’s an interesting one this. Yes I think he is real quality if (and that’s the concern) we can get him fit. I’m never quite sure we always use the loan market well. The teams that have gone up tend to loan players from the prem that are on the verge of breaking into the first team so are hungry for the chance to prove themselves either to go back to their parent club and play first team football or if the club they’re loaned to go up get a permanent move and play in the premier league with them (Ben White is probably the best example for us). Rothwell though not young is another, however we have on occasions taken players like Solomon that are coming back from long-term injuries that have no intention of being here next season regardless. It’s also a bit worrying that he was injured again after just two games. Can’t afford to pay his wages for him to spend most of the season in the treatment room.
Agree but that's the chance we took we knew his injury record I will still say now he will probably miss more than he plays but if we do get him match fit and he gets a run he will make a big difference in the games he will play he can turn a game with some brilliance ok we haven't seen it yet but it's there we have all seen it from games he has played in the past. I agree he won't want to come back but he has alot to prove for himself and his own career. if he doesn't do it here or can't be arsed he has no chance of playing for Spuds again in the future then where does he go. He has to put himself back in the picture and I'm sure he will when he gets going fingers crossed.
