Watched the highlights this morning. I'm fine with Robinson starting up front for the first team, but Reindorff should be given a chance off the bench. A much better option than Kanga.
Been saying that for weeks after seeing Reindorf v Southampton. He will bring so much more to the front line. Intelligence, movement, ability to create space and....... he knows how to score goals.
A nice summary of the state of the academy. https://www.cardiffcityfc.co.uk/vid...§ion=7a1af227-58ac-4975-b26a-cc2bf408ded3 Also interesting to read that the club has a long term strategy for academy products. Cardiff want a first team full of "home-grown talent" in years to come and hope their new loan policy will enable them to do that. You have to scroll down to find the relevant bit. https://www.walesonline.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/tonights-cardiff-city-news-omer-30102743
Plenty of representation in the recent age grade internationals. At U21 level, Rubin Colwill, Cian Ashford, Joel Colwill, Eli King and Tom Davies were included in the squad. The side suffered a 2-1 defeat to Czechia, before a 4-2 loss to Slovakia. There are also call-ups at U19 level, with Ewan Griffiths, Luey Giles, Ronan Kpakio, Trey George and Dakarai Mafico included. In a friendly double-header with Italy, Wales recorded a 3-3 draw and a 4-3 victory. Hayden Allmark, Olly Reynolds and Noah Williams were called-up for the U17s, as they played two friendly matches, the first coming against Portugal, earning a 1-1 draw, prior to a 3-1 defeat to France. In Wales' U16s squad for the Victory Shield were Leo Papyrnik, Logan Cartwright, Keano Conaty and Rob Tankiewicz, who recorded a win on penalties over Northern Ireland following a 3-3 draw in normal time, before a 3-2 defeat to the Republic of Ireland. The side ended their campaign on a positive note, defeating Scotland 1-0. At U15 level, Wales selected Hugo Daniel, Jacob Norris, Dembo Jaiteh, Alex Donczew and Gruffydd Evans, who gained invaluable international experience.
Great review Remote. We clearly have talent through the age grades. We must nurture it through to the first team. The beginnings are there. Whoever is our new manager must double down on that. It will save the club a pile of money and make a lot when the best ones are inevitably sold to bigger clubs.
I claim no credit BfB. It was a cut and paste. You're correct about the pathway and the financial benefits. It's been alluded to by the club. It takes years for the sausage machine to start producing though.
Still takes someone to take the time to cut paste and post it. A good news article not covered by WoL. No surprise there. Thanks again.
Don't forget, our U21's take on Cardiff Met at Leckwith on Monday evening in the Quarter Final of the League Cup
If he’s not promoted over Kanga on Saturday then there’s something we’re not being told. Mind you we wouldn’t have beaten the junior JBs if Kanga had started instead of Reindorff
I wonder if there's something in Kanga's loan terms which says he has to be in the match day squad if fit? That being the case, for home games tell him we are away and put him on a train going east. For away games tell him to turn up at CCS 90 minutes before kick off.
Simple tap in for Reindorf. Good build up and 'right place, right time'. https://www.cardiffcityfc.co.uk/video/player/0_544vhmpl
