For those of you who fly with Ryanair. Irish airline Ryanair, through its Director General Michael O'Leary has just announced that they will be going totally paperless" by May 1st 2025. No more queueing up with your boarding cards printed out, it will be totally "smart phone or nothing" after that date. At this moment 60% of their clients check in/board with their phones, they want it 80% by the end of the year, and as stated, after May 1st it will be paperless.
My parents own a house in Alora (near Malaga) and that was hit by flash flooding as well. Thankfully, no one in Alora was killed and our house is high up on a hill so escaped any damage.
Every year there are warnings of a “Gota Fria” which translates as “Cold drop” but you are never sure when or where it will hit. The cause is a cold front moving down from the north, meeting a warm front from the south, resulting in chaos. I have witnessed a few in my area and they are both beautiful and scary for the ferocity of the wind and storms. One area yesterday received a year’s worth of rain in 8 hours. The last I saw for the area I posted about above is that there were 64 recorded deaths, but that was 5 hours ago.
Yeah, Valencia and the area around it has undoubtedly been hit the worst. Apparently they had a years worth of rain in one day. That is truly astonishing and scary in equal measure.
