Depends on money. Would love to see WC or Euro tournament first hand, but won't travel any further than Europe. I was too young in '96 to remember much apart from the matches. Since then there's only been WC 2006 in Germany, where i've been old enough to go and drink, but i was too skint.

I think with the invention of all the fan parks and stuff it's made it better. You can enjoy the football and get the experiences of that country without getting fleeced for a ticket. There's other places in Poland, non football related, that i'd like to see.

I've seen all the England fans on youtube vids in Germany and Portugal and it sounded like they had a great time, depsite the team being useless. Wish i'd been old enough to remember more about Euro 96.

I'm actually hoping it's; Spain - England - Portugal and France because I'm sick of qualifying via easy groups and the media making out we're world beaters. Then we come down to earth with a crunch when we meet a half-decent team in the finals.
If we qualified from a group of death we would at least deserve to get to the finals and if we didn't it would prove we are what we are - second rate.

I can see what you mean but we did that in 2002 in Japan and we did nowt. In fact we seemed to give up with 30 minutes to go against Brazil in the Quarter Final.

Good thing about the Euros is there's no ****e little teams like Trinidad & Tobago or North Korea, they're generally decent national teams with a decent history behind them and with decent fanbases.

All the way to Toyko for a deeply tedious game against Sweden, never again.

If it's in Europe, then it can be worth going just for the piss up, though I'd recommend staying in whatever bar you're in and watching the game on telly, the over-priced match tickets are normally a disappointment and the build up is always better than the actual game.

Not a bad draw for us really. Group A would have been lovely.

Group A just let's the tournament down. On paper it doesn't look very good. Might meet the Paddies in the next round.

The Portugal group is one of the hardest I've ever seen, not much luck for Ireland either! We've got a good chance to qualify from ours, maybe even Febbos lot can come out of the group with us too, and Rooney could get a game if they bring him in the next round!

this tourney is far stronger than the world cup , the only teams missing really are Argentina and Brazil and maybe Mexico and Chilie at a push .

Its a shame the world cup is sooo full of crap teams when comparing to the euros
