Just over a week to go and it couldn't be closer.

Having worked and lived in the US I have a vested interest in this election. The ramifications of a Trump victory will effect people all over the world.
The Democrats have chosen (what I feel) is a pretty weak candidate in Harris, but if she wins it will give the country some continuity, and gives the rest of the world a little peace of mind.
If the Orange Moron wins all bets are off. He will go after and jail all those who try to get him legally over the last 4 years, The end of women's reproductive rites but more important the likes of Ukraine, Taiwan, Philippines etc etc are on their own. He will almost certainly pull the US out of NATO leaving the west very exposed to Russia and China.
I just wish the Democrats had chosen the California Governor Gavin Newson, he would have destroyed Trump.
From my time in the US, I find it hard to believe just how divided that country is now. So sad

I think the entire world should have an interest mate, for the reasons you state. I have a horrible feeling Trump is on course for another term. Dread to think of the ramifications tbh.

If the Americans are daft enough to vote Trump back in then they've only got themselves to blame and should hang their heads in shame and I know nowt about their politics.

What I find truly astounding is that Harris looks like a totally inept idiot on stage compared to Trump, and that’s saying something. Surely she’s not the strongest candidate the democrats could put forward? If the two of them were to have a live debate with no scripting he would tear her apart.

I’m not a Harris fan… but they had a debate… she destroyed him, to the point he didn’t want to debate again. regardless of the format. My point is if the Democrats had a proper candidate this election would be a walk over

Our countries are so divided, people want extreme solutions to our problems, and we don't agree on what these problems are. I don't see a solution other than more chaos.

I genuinely don’t know anything about US politics but pulling out of NATO, is that because Trump is asking all other member countries to pay their share? If that is the case then surely that is only fair.

Did they? Fair one must’ve missed that. She looks really scripted and incompetent tbh, just rambles on about nothing and changes to cater for whichever audience she has in front of her - but I’m not up to date with US politics so I wouldn’t have a clue who else they’d endorse.

I think you are right, but to pull out of the only body that has kept peace in the world since the 2nd world war is extreme. Also, I do believe countries have since met their obligations to Nato

I get your point on Harris, but id rather have her then the loose cannon that is Trump. I guarantee those not into US politics will be after this election if he wins. His decisions will effect most countries in the world

While Harris is a repulsive mouthful of lukewarm coffee better spat out than swallowed, Trump is a gutful of bleach.

Apart from Harris beat him comfortably in the only debate they had leading to Trump withdrawing from any future debates in public.

Yeah just reading the BBC article about it now, doesn’t really read like that mind but you never know with the media here. What we see in mainstream can be biased one way or the other and easy for people who aren’t educated on the matter, such as myself, to come away from reading it with a skewed view of what actually happened

Almost everyone is partisan now, if someone is declared a winner it is indicative of that person's views not something objective.

    I’m resigned to Trump winning.
Such an opportunity missed. Replacing one demented old fossil for another even worse.
The democrats had a chance to present a younger alternative and it turns out Harris is clueless.
Seeing Mrs Obama telling like it is just shows what could have been.
Harris waffles. Harris must be so badly advised.

Seems Harris has a tiny edge at the last. Still one or two respectable models going for Trump. It really cant be Trump again, surely...

Really quite worried about what will happen if Trump gets in. He's a dangerous idiot.
