That was a really, really bad half of football. Been saying that a lot over the last 6 or so months. Maddison and Udogie the only two I feel actually playing “well”. Moore is probably next in line but he’s not had the chance to do too much. Everyone else dropping a stinker.
1-0 HT. Really poor first half. Never got going and failed to deal with Palace's physicality. Shocking amount of pissing around at the back and creating our own problems, even for this side. Probably not the right game for Moore to make his league debut either, as they've been bullying us. Wouldn't be surprised if Kulusevski's taken off at the break. Lost his head after that poor whack it took.
Palace have been very aggressive and successfully so but we are still making chances. In the past we would lose games like this, hopefully we now have more about us.
Gonna sound like a broken record but we will be frustratingly inconsistent this season, particularly away from home. We are full of potential but far short of being the finished article. Genuinely expected us to drop points today
No on-pitch leaders to steady the ship when it gets physical. Compound that with the < standard > play (waiting for the ball/pass to come/drop to you rather than going to it etc) .
A frighteningly inept half, as bad the 2nd half v Brighton. Bentancur, Sarr and Richarlison should all be seen soon as we need changes. There were lots of Dr Tottenham comments and he has arrived right on cue to help Palace and we all knew it was coming
Another let off, van de Ven pulls down Eze in the box but luckily for us Eze seems to be off balance already so no penalty. This really is an abysmal performance. Manager needs to make some changes very soon.
Defensively we are so shambolic. If not pissing about, we fail to pick up players. Once again we are lucky not to concede a second!
