Okay, serious question here, given the impotence of our current crop of forwards, those who watch the u21s, how close is Sellars Flemming to making an appearance for the first team. Saw him in pre season and he looked like he had something.
He started up front in the cup game v Sheff Wednesday and he looked out of place to be honest. I think it's a particularly hard position to break through in as an academy player. Can't even remember when we actually last produced a successful striker from our academy. KLP was probably the closest thing in memory but he only really made it as a winger.
He was, but brought into it late in his development having played senior football elsewhere, similar to Harry Vaughan. But like KLP he was never really a striker either.
