I read about this in one of the broadsheets in the week - it’s a sop as usual to the elite clubs, many of whom are carrying first team squad incl the kids of 40 plus players. Chelsea are a major offender in this regard. I’m sure Chelsea will use this game to give their many squad fillers game time.
I have not seen any political references or “persecution” in this thread at all - it’s been a well balanced thread containing the stupid and not so serious things that frustrate us.
I agree totally. I'm not sure where the Law stands on it though. Is there any kind of animal cruelty which is not already banned? I guess it depends on the definition. Individual people who are cruel to their pets or working animals are despicable, and I would expect their activities to already be illegal. Some folk might argue that certain farming or sporting practices also constitute cruelty to animals.
I could reply to this but you would not like it. I wouldn’t want to persecute anyone. I think it best if we draw a line underneath it and move on to Charlton matters. A pity as I didn’t think there was anything too bad posted. What do I know.
People who wear those fleece jackets depicting huskies or cats. Said jackets are usually caked in animal fur. Shirtless men in any location other than the beach or their own homes. Not having enough time in the day to watch Minder.
People who allow their dogs to poo and not clear it up. People who are offended on other people’s account.
I am very respectful of pedestrians whilst on the path - just had some down on the sea front at Tankerton competing for land speed record ! I wish I had a mini spike strip to slow them down
We could start a new thread on Minder @Ponders Revisited but this is a football forum so maybe now. I can confides I have watched every episode, the classic ones many times.
I find cyclists to be sanctimonious & often very aggressive people. They think they are doing the world a favour when in truth they are just virtue signalling.
I am working my way through Only Fools again. The Margate beano brings back memories. As we used to do the same to Brighton.
