This is easily the best Saints Forum out there. It's the reason I use it, I do have a log-on for Saints Web but there's more than a few psychos on there and the less said about the Ugly Inside the better.

This is the best - we often don't agree with each other but I have never been abused, even when I might have deserved it.

My views on this game are very much at odds with a lot of posters on this thread, but that is okay.

I'm always right, so it doesn't matter. :emoticon-0102-bigsm

I haven’t been on saintsweb for years, there were some good posters but it was all a bit extreme and toxic.

Pep reckons we are one of the best in the league. Wonder if he fancies the job?

Interesting about ABK; particularly with RMs hints the other day about him refusing to play for the u21s recently.

    His career he's ****ing up

That is so patronising. We are bottom of the table with 1 point, and hardly look like scoring most weeks, give the ball away in and near our own penalty area nearly every weekend, we did today, and we are 'one of the best in the league'?

I have never been involved in professional football in my life, the closest I got was the Supermarine FC chairman asking me to work on their media once, and I know that this is utter, utter, ballcocks. I mean it is like he is taking the p*** out of us supporters/fans.

That's how much they give a monkey's about us or our club.

Here’s the full article if you’re interested. Foden spoke to Martin after the game in awe of him as well apparently

Honestly makes no sense in my book. In football, in life.

I believe in a method or way of doing 'something'. The tools I have available don't allow me to do that thing correctly and it isn't working, I am failing. BUT I will keep doing it exactly that way because otherwise I wouldn't be true to myself, even though I will fail and drag a lot of other people who have no say in this method into my failure too.

Like I said apply this to something else in your life. Does it look sensible, would you really do this if it ruined your family and friends?

Said it earlier, but he always reserves praise for sides that lose ‘the right way’ and scorns sides that win against him ‘the wrong way’.

In other words his praise means absolutely nothing.

I’m sure it’ll be **** bank fodder for RM though.

Doesn't come across as patronising to me. I think Pep genuinely appreciated that a small club came to Man City and tried to play a similar style to them rather than the usual stick 11 men behind the ball approach.

It is being patted on the head and saying 'You tried weally, weally hard! Well done'

I mean what is the 'right way' lose 1-0 but pass it around a lot and sit rock bottom, or play ugly, really upset them and draw 0-0? Not that we could do that anyway but when teams do it. Who has got the best result?

We were true to ourselves, that was the main thing. And very brave.

Hmmm, Mr Martin's idea of 'brave' football and mine are a bit different, we're losing 1-0, everyone expects us to lose 6-0, there's a few minutes left, bomb into their half, pump the ball into their penalty area and maybe cause some mayhem.....or pass it sideways on the halfway line.

My City mate reckoned that is what Saints did today. Says he is getting fed up with watching attack against defence at home to lesser sides. I offered him the chance to watch a side that doesn’t win every game, which is also not entertaining. Not taking an opportunity to widen his football experience, lightweight!

Strange Question, I'm not entirely sure what you're implying there? But I'll be sure to look out for your posts in the future.
As I've only recently been posting on here I'll give a little background about myself : I've been reading comments on this forum for years, I remember the likes of CBK so going back that far, then joined up a few years ago but again never really posted either. If I'm honest I do think there is a certain little select club on here that has hounded out certain members in the past and that has put me off from posting. I'm not here as a wum and I respect other people's views - apart from that I don't feel I need to explain myself any further.

Would literally rather kick the **** out of them, play the worst football imaginable and make him upset than this.

So patronising and weak. He’s praising us because he knows we didn’t lay a finger on them

We kind of did do that though?

We were still very defensive. We just played a dozen passes in our own half rather than try and get up the pitch quicky. Which suited City perfectly.

We were soft. Not the fight and grit you expect from a relegation threatened team.
