Let's be real, Rosenior was loved by 95%, but our potential wasn't met, and it was clear that we were losing 70% of our first 11 after last season, so I can see why we changed manager, especially coupled with home form. We appear to be struggling, but Derby have a very good home record, and we've only lost to teams in the top 7. We do need to start picking up some wins though, and the concern is we don't look like we have the goals in us.
Let's be honest, we look just like an average Championship team - mid-table mediocrity, will Acun be satisified with that?
Of course the owner's culpable,do you honestly believe that the Turk got rid of Rosenior because of some fans moaning? If he did, that's not what he's said, was he lying? What's your take after watching today's game? 12 games in,sitting 15th?
Well to be fair, the Pompey stuff was in L1, and it isn't his fault if we agreed to pay £4m or whatever for him.
Rosenior shouldn’t have been sacked, and Walter definitely shouldn’t have been appointed. With the resources we seem to have at our disposal though, and an owner with a willingness to use them, we can definitely do better than either of them though. Walter especially, way out of his depth. What’s the point in holding on to him? Cut our losses and try to salvage the season whilst we’re not too far adrift.
Well, I have done an in depth analysis of all the stats and those, in conjunction with what I observed, have led me to the conclusion that we are not very good.
He tries the fancy stuff, wasteful to some, ambitious to others. We need some more directness in the side
Well those all important things, stats back that up which makes it a FACT. http://european-football-statistics.co.uk/attnclub/league/hulc.htm
Kamara definitely better of the 2. He has played as a striker maybe we should try him cant be worse than Bedia and Pedro
‘The Turk’ – think he deserves a bit more respect than that. Today, frustrating draw, but probably a decent ish point in the grand scheme. We look like what we are - lacking a decent striker. Personally, I would give Walter a lot longer than 12 league matches, if that is also what you are also asking. Society now = instant gratification or **** off. Fans do influence the owners of most clubs – hasn’t the owner said as much about gauging fan opinion previously and it being a factor?
Nobody's panicking, but we have a forward line that can't score and a defence that can't keep a clean sheet. If we don't break our home hoodoo against Pompey next week then I reckon it's allowed.
100% agree, and for many years we dreamed of it. I’m actually quite enjoying this season ( as I did last season). I think we have got some really good players and I’m sure we will get better. So much negativity on here, as if we deserve to be in the premier league. I love the championship. Yeah it’s frustrating at times but just enjoy the ride, anyone can beat anyone in this league it’s great.
I think we've been very arrogant to expect to go from a 15th to promotion challengers whilst playing exciting football in less than 2 years. Some clubs were patient and it still took them years to go up, despite having good squads. They are now getting their rewards in the top flight. I'm not Walter out yet at all, but I'm unimpressed by the decision making from the club on the pitch in Acun's reign. That includes spunking money at expensive players last January, when promotion was going to be very tough. We've been naive and we're being found out. Are we closer to promotion or playing better football than when we got rid of McCann? I don't think so.
I've called him The Turk from day one, can't see what the issue is personally,I'm hardly on first name terms with him. I've also made plain on numerous occasions that I'm not beholden or indebted to any owner of this Football Club and haven't been in 55 years. The owner of this Club will decide when he tells him to **** off and considering he(Tim Walters) is our 4th since 'Mr Ilicali' arrived I'd hazard a guess we'll be seeing no 5 shortly....
