No Jota, Nunez is likely to play then.

Do they? Do you honestly think any of our players think "Chris Sutton says we'll win one-nil so it must be true"?
    Against Arsenal?
I'm not buying it, sorry. We'll be up for it, so will they - many factors will come into play to decide the outcome, but the opinions of pundits won't be amongst them.

According to Graham Souness Arne Slot has not impressed him because he is not
playing Liverpool way. As for me he's getting results who cares?.

Fair enough but I still disagree lol <laugh>
    Players do listen to pundits
You see plenty of them interacting all the time
They read the papers they hear the noise
I reckon it would be quiet hard for them full stop tbph

The lads at Fleetwood that I have talked to in the past have paid attention to the likes of the Blackpool gazette ffs lol (vardy was one btw)

I am not saying that they think Sutton says so must be true but reading everything they do hearing they are going to win - yeah - I think it has an effect on their attitudes

never forget Andy Preece sitting down and chatting to me about when they got relegated at my pool (top bloke btw)

so in my experience I think you are dead wrong on this
I understand what you are saying but seen and heard too much actual talk to not think differently on this topic.

that doesn’t change the fact that I am a pessimistic twat lmao <laugh><laugh><laugh>

From keane link mostly but you cannot deny that many man utd fans and pundits have talked about tje man itd way and crave a return to ferguson with 2 forwards and 2 wingers like as if ferguson invented man utd.

Same story with us. There is no on way of playing. Dalglish was.more attacking then Paisley or ***an, Houllier was defensive. Rafa was a straight jacket on creativity, Hodgson was a defeatist, Rodgers couldn't defend and klopp was completely different in being fast and direct and high up thr park.

Slot is different but that is that. Pass the ball. Lfc should be about winning things not one formation or one style.

And man itd fans should forget about the man utd way amd focus on winning too.

Complacency is a thing, for sure - I've warned against it frequently in the past. But not in a game like this, the players will be aware of the task ahead.

TAA says he’d rather win the balloon door than the WC.

That sounds a lot like if I get the chance I’ll go to madrid as only way I could win that.

No we won't, because whatever happens, none of us know what's going on in their heads and can't reliably say what the reason for their display is. It's all assumptions.

A rb in a team with vini and mbappe will never ever get a balloon.

A rb in a world with those two, and several others, will never win it. Of course, he doesn't want to be a rb - he sees himself as a midfield general.
I find it a bit worrying when he says things like that - it suggests (as I've long suspected) that he believes his own hype.
Nothing wrong with being confident and having lofty ambitions of course, but it comes across as over-confident to me, and a bit unrealistic.
It also adds to the speculation of him wanting to leave, as a few shiny cups will improve his image on the world stage.
Yes, he's an excellent player, but he's not even the biggest name at LFC, and he's got a long way to go.

In theory reql could have a stinking year and lfc win a quad with trent scoring 20 and assisting 30.

Then he might be considered but they'll give it to the Barca kids anyway.

There are also growing problems at the back. William Saliba will miss the next three games a result of the straight red card he was shown at the Vitality Stadium last weekend.
Calafiori would have been the most likely candidate to step in and replace the France international.

So,a win puts 7 points between ourselves and Arsenal and 6 between ourselves and Villa in third......would be a significant 3 points.
