Pandurs made a few big mistakes in just the last two games Maybe he had a purple patch earlier? And is back to form
Havent seen the game, so have been relying on all your comments. This all seems to hang on the shoulders of TK and Acun for this summers mess. Recruitment is maybe 40/60 good and WTF...
We'll only find out how bad our strikers really are when we get some good crosses into the box. I think there was one today, from Kamara.
It'd have been nice if someone had actually challenged him. Unfortunately Pandur will get the blame but you can't allow someone a free header like that, it was happening all game.
Frustrating is the word. Our crossing is pathetic never goes near a man and when it does no one gets anywhere near it. Not a fan of his but I am beginning to that Oscar would have got on some of those balls in the middle. We don’t look a patch on the team that played last season. Still waiting for Walter Ball.
Oh I agree, he definitely has to be challenged. But pandur ( or any GK ) in that situation needs to make a choice and stick to it, not change their mind and get caught. But he's been fantastic for us this season so let's not just pile on and demand hea dropped
While Pandur did **** up today Without him we'd probably be in the relegation zone under this **** system So pandurs allowed one
Well at least I got the right result and we didn't lose.... Walter sounds pissed off...."2 points dropped" Just an observation. Bedia and Pedro are $hit. Burstow isn't much better....Situation not good. Over and Out.
**** the prem though After 9 games Ipswich and southampton are still winless And thats after last season all 3 promoted teams went down
Had all three strikers on the pitch at some point today. Bedia - ineffective; poor positionally. Pedro - ineffective; ok positionally but slow and cumbersome. Burstow - ineffective; played right wing so can't judge positional awareness but not strong enough.
I just don't understand why we keep playing with one striker and then have nobody else pushing up to fight for the ball. One striker vs two centre halves, that striker is going to have to be outstanding to consistently score when outnumbered and none of the ones we have are going to be that guy. If we're gonna play 4-3-3, then the players that are playing in midfield or the opposite side to the attack need to be in the sodding box to help out. That's why about 90% of our crosses come to nothing, regardless of where they come from, because the opposition defence outnumbers our attack nearly every time. And then taking off Puerta for the second game running? At least replace him with Zambrano, but also for the second game running the subs did **** all and didn't improve us. That's a quarter of the season gone and I'm as unimpressed now as I was three games ago. I know there'll be a clamour for signings come January, but honestly if it were up to me, just leave it until Summer and save the money. Because using these tactics buying expensive players is a complete waste of money.
For someone who is 6'3, I'd expect Bedia to get within a few yards of a header in the box but I dont recall him winning a header in the opposition area all season. He looks way better played into feet, and that's just not something we seem to do within their final quarter I'd like to see Burstow given a start, only cos he's played about 30 minutes, and I'd like to see what he can actually do
