I'm running out of superlatives to describe this team. We're playing freely with a smile on our faces, confidence is sky high and there's still players to come back from injury or make their debuts.

It could have been 6 today and Oxford would have had no cause for complaint. Rounds off a great week and a clean sheet for our reserve goalie.
    Haway ya f*ckin beauties!

Enjoy your weekend Lads and Lasses

first off, thank you oxford for actually trying to play football rather than the current trend of throwing themselves to the ground and screaming at the ref..hope you at least get enough to stay up.

ok, i take back all i said after luton, our midfield were on top form again and yes i include dan neil...mepham/onien have to be the best pairing in the league, hume and cirkin quietly get on with thier business, roberts back to his best and if i have to nit-pick i would say mundle was slightly below par, isidor did exactly what we want, even with a quiet game he scores a top notch goal, moore was never a worry in goal.

reggie is now looking like that shrewd coach we always wanted, many have been a bit critical (aye, me included) but he does what he needs with the team and they follow it to a tee but when the team is allowed to play they look like they could play anyone off the pitch.

ref watch, good game, maybe a wee bit slow with the cards but kept it flowing and (imo) was helped by two sides wanting to play football.

my MotM, struggling to call it as giving it to one takes it away from another one worthy...going to give it to Jobe, he really has been a bit of a 'dark horse' in the team, by that i mean he has done a solid job game after game without trying to throw himself into the spotlight, todays perfomance and goal just shows how much of a box to box player he is.

Not that I want it to be the case but we only need 2 points from the next 3 games to average 2 points a game. Currently average 2.34 points a game. WOW

EDIT: also the only team to score over 20 goals so far

Possibly the most relaxing game I've ever watched, Oxford defended ok and didn't give us anything on a plate but they were as dangerous as a dead haddock. Very poor side imo.

Would have liked to see us notch a few more goals but it was a very slick and professional performance. Jobe motm absolutely immense.

Next to me today was a new family and a dude from London. You kid was nervous but by the end was high fives and loving it. Lad from London was surprised at the noise and passion.

Goes to show that the impact is possible.

    We are ****ing decent.

Get in early. ‘Jobe literally takes a step forward every week’. Gonna need to cut n paste this.

He has to be the best player outside the PL now. We are going to have to fight off bids in January.

it’s how I became a Sunderland fan. Was a spurs fan as a 7 year old. Mum took me to roker park and I was instantly a Sunderland fan. It was like a different sport. It meant everything.

Great performance from everyone. It's just a pleasure to watch them playing with freedom but grafting so hard to win the ball back. EG. 2nd goal. Jobe is an absolute monster if he keeps developing we have a worldie on our hands same with Rigg. Great to see Dan Neil back to his very best today after taking a lot of at times unnecessary flak. Mepham oozes quality while Onien is like a duracell bunny just keeps going all the time fantastic. Hopefully any injury to Wilson is minor but Connelly and Mayenda still there. Fantastic times . Trying to stay grounded but
