just dont think we gave enough umph today to many wayward passing to many one touch passing. running in blind alleys. with again very poor shooting dont think we have anyone who can strike the ball cleanly. Bit disappointed myself
It was like we were more scared to concede, we were the better team, lots of very good chances, two points dropped but not many will come away from Bristol with three points
If I’m honest I’ve always said you rarely (Coventry v Luton sounds like an exception) get a decent game for the early kickoffs, but that was a bore fest. Gnonto had so much time he could have taken a touch, steadied himself and smashed it in. Thought he was piss poor today.
Come the end boys it was a fair result neither side deserved to win or loose.Keep believing and respect to those Leeeds fans at the ground with the Theo Manning tribute class
Points dropped when you look at who Sheff U, Sunderland and Burnley are playing. Going to lose a bit of ground this weekend.
A bit of over reaction here. Bristol are a decent side. Meslier had **** all to do. At the other end we had plenty of clear cut chances to win lots of games. Rothwell missed his volley, Bogle missed a free header, James scuffed his 1v1, Gnonto had one cleared off the line, Joseph missed a simple header and Byram missed a free header. It's too easy to blame Farke but ultimately he set his side up to concede no chances whilst creating 6 clear cut full goalscoring opportunities. It's not his fault that none of the players put the ball in the net. If one of those chances went in then we'd all be much happier.
So Eire saw none of it. Was on a pumpkin farm with the grandsons. Very enjoyable. Recorded game but doubt I can be arsed watching it reading the reviews. So what happened to by far the best team in the division who were going to give Bristol a spanking.
Yeah but you post similar every single game about chances. The only thing you’ve left out of this is “on another day we would have scored five, someone will get a real thrashing soon”
Missed chances could indeed cost us promotion in the end. It was certainly front and central as we were relegated 18 months ago. I'm not quite Aski but the stats so far suggest that we should be top two at the end of the season. Then I look at who we have played and we've played 7 out of the current top 10 sides (excluding ourselves). Our fixtures have been fairly tough so far and yet we are still up there averaging just below 2 points a game. We have favourable fixtures coming up which takes us to Christmas. Just for context, the team that sit 3rd in the stats are Bristol City who we have just drawn away from home and are moaning because we didn't convert one of our many chances. Then we'll move on to the eye test. We've played nearly all of the top sides and I haven't seen us outplayed once. Quite the opposite. I thought West Brom edged the game against us, I thought Norwich were decent and Sunderland had their moments. Overall, we are the best side I've seen this season in the Championship and ive seen alot. In the interests of balancing out my opinion, I was at ER against Boro and they gave us a football lesson so that will be an interesting game. There was a funny feeling that night as it was essentially a reserve game and it came out at half time that Rutter was leaving. It's October, it looks like we are an exceptionally good side for this level. The stats back it up. The league table looks okay given the fixtures we have had. We have injuries to come back to bolster us further. I'm not concerned or knee-jerky panicky just yet.
