    D isn't too tough a group.

Group A would have been the dream draw because of the teams and where we have to travel but D was not the worst.

Imagine if Cabaye kicked them out of the group stages with a screamer...

Netherlands v Germany looks very tasty.

Swap Greece with Croatia and you would have the Group of Debt.

Do you people get as excited about watching England play as you always have? Is it a patriotic thing or does it depend entirely on who the players are? In other words is there a scenario in which you could imagine not giving a toss about watching England play the Euro/World cup?

That was some of the WORST lip-syncing and fake instrument playing I've ever seen! Someone should tell producers of this **** that if its an electronic song, we know nobody's playing drums or the trumpet, so stop running these guys out on stage. Same goes for the broad moving her lips at the wrong times.

What a **** opening game, typical that we have to wait the longest to play!

    To skalpel

I used to be split 50/50 between club and country but having watched both England and Newcastle for forty years, the balance is shifting towards the Toon. Too many England players have cocked up over the past decade (and that's saying something considering what some Newcastle players have been up to) and I'm sick of all the bad headlines. Plus the manager is crap.

<ok> Makes a lot of sense, if you're supporting your country out of pride it can't be good seeing players without pride or respect representing it. I've never really been into international games myself, I've always considered myself a Newcastle fan rather than a football fan in general though so that's pretty much why.

I care far more about Newcastle than I do England. Part of that is due to England neglecting the north and a general dislike of most of the players, and part due to me not being particularly patriotic.

I dont really get caught up with them or celebrate them scoring any more, can't explain it I just have no passion for England. I only care if a Newcastle player is playing.

Would love to see Ben Arfa and Cabaye representing us at the Euros.

    Lose 2-1 to France
    Draw 1-1 with Sweden
Win 1-0 against Ukraine and scrape through.

    Lose in the quarters.

I definitely think I'd be more persuaded to watch internationals with Newcastle players playing. Still wouldn't be bothered if I missed them though, the excitement of watching and discussing Newcastle is what draws me to football.

I don't actually consider myself to be English and support them as my default international team really. Would like them to do well but my support for NUFC is much much more important to me.
