If journo is right then it’ll be interesting to see how the players react on the pitch given said journo suggests Bulut has lost the dressing room. In any event it’s a tough ask for the players, motivated or not, to get a result against one of the favourites for the league. If it had been say Portsmouth or Millwall then it would be a different test. Anyway what does “get a result” mean? Would a scrappy 0-0 cut it or does it have to be a win?
Got to be a win Nin. I just don't see how Bulut can change his philosophy and motivate the players enough to win this. If, as has been suggested, he has lost the players' support then the match is a lost cause. We shall see.
Wonder if Bulut will pull out the “ the we’ll never know what would have happened if the ref doesn’t send off Bagan” card? In truth today’s opponents were not really the barometer to determine Bulut's fate. (The gulf between the two clubs is just too big)The home game v Boro was and if not that then certainly the game at Derby was. He should have been sacked after either.
It's a disgrace hes still in a job. Hopefully he's gone tonight. This squad is sh!t though. How the hell did Callum Chambers get an England cap???? Kanga useless.
Warnock was watching that timid display - bet he couldn’t believe the lack of fight and passion he installed in his teams.
Have to disagree with you on the Boro game Nin. I was at that one and travelled with a Boro supporting mate and even by his admission that one could have easily gone either way as there wasn't much between the two sides. I suspect Erol will be gone if we don't win our next game. Today was a write off from the moment we went down to 10. They probably would have beaten us with 11 on the pitch but clearly their job was made all the easier with what for me was a harsh red card.
As stated before the Leeds game wasn’t really the match to allegedly be a must result game for him but it’s the combination of many things ie the failure to secure a striker or even two, left back and players with pace in the window and sticking to the awful style of play seen in this seasons performances to date which surely must now signal the end for him.
We were utter ****e before the sending off. Again. It's taking the p!ss if he survives another game. We need someone new to start undoing the damage he's doing.
Smacks of Mick McCarthy. New contract, sacked within a short period. Another chunk of change wasted on compensation. Becoming a basket case of a club. We are desperate for some football knowledge on the board.
I would have hoped the club had learned something from the McCarthy debacle. I'd have thought there'd have been some "get out" clauses in his contract that enabled City to cancel it early with minimal compensation. Something like "if the club finds itself in a relegation place after 6/12/18 etc games, then the club has the right to terminate on pre-agreed severence terms". That's maybe why his departure was delayed until after the Leeds game?
Hearts have just done the same thing. Sacked manager Naismith with the club exactly the same position in the Scottish Prem - bottom of the table with 1 point from 6 games.
Damn - agent Bulut has been unmasked. Time to activate one of the other undercover operatives to finish the job he started
About time. However I’ve no faith in the club finding a decent replacement. Really what manager would want this job given the shambolic structure of the football side of the club?
