I see England have won the all important toss in the 3rd test. Now they have to make the most of it. 79-2 as of now.
A pitch turning this much on day one is pretty much cheating IMO. They've made sure it will turn from ball one. Could be over in two days. Not what anyone wants to see.
From BBC live text re the pitch and the batting. PitchViz so far: First 10 overs: 4.0 Overs 11-20: 7.0 Overs 21-25: 8.3 PitchViz gives a rating for the difficulty of a pitch out of 10. The higher the number the more difficult it is to bat." "Awful batting from England. To continuously sweep on a pitch that the ball is keeping low on is borderline negligible. Especially when the better option is to use your feet." "This is all going horribly wrong for England. Conditions are tough but this is a bad shot. Much like Ollie Pope, Harry Brook has tried to sweep the quicker one off stumps. The only difference to Pope's dismissal is this one has missed pad and gone straight onto the timbers. England are in all sorts of trouble."
I honestly think if England can get to 200 they'll be well in the game given the turn and uneven bounce.
Is there a reason for England not having players near the bat when Noman is facing the ball? Seems to have been given an easy ride and is helping with a damaging stand.
Perhaps the players misinterpreted the captain's instructions: 'Make sure that no man is at the wicket'
