AZ seem to be having a contest to see who can put in the stupidest foul

It’s been pretty mediocre, but it’s a win and we have no injuries, and most of the first team are rested for Sunday. That will do for me

Job done. Not great but gave some players some minutes and some a bit of rest. 3 out of 3 with hardest game next against galatasaray so good position to be in.

Good result. Decent 2nd half performance and some real excitement from MM!
And the ref was decent too. :emoticon-0148-yes:

A pretty poor game with Moore and Bentancur our standout performers for me.

Dragusin solid at the back too, needed that after his red the other week.

Forster also didn’t look 90 years old which is a bonus.

Job done though, big game against Gala next in the comp, really hope we turn up for that, got a lot of Fener mates.

    Maddison:

From minute 45 to 65 I thought we had Neymar on the left wing.
    ———

He ain’t wrong! Moore was electric, deserved an assist for at least one of those runs and crosses.

Not sure if Bergval is injured. Seemed to tweak his hammy.

I think he’s fine. But the first team are fit and that’s the main thing

Fair play to bergvall at 18 and in a foreign country to do an interview. He’s a talent and he just needs time. 100% a player there

No way ... He lost the ball several times in dangerous positions and in the first half his negative passing broke up our play. He was more positive 2nd half (weren't they all?), but he didn't do enough to get the plaudits surely?

Thought he was really good, only remember him losing possession once. Saved a possible goal with a last ditch tackle, got the ball moving from midfield to attack a lot and didn’t really do much wrong.

Seems to be getting a lot of plaudits from peeps on Twitter too.

I think we should all stop and remember how bad it has been previously when we have made wholesale changes in Europe. We are 3 from 3 and this is a game changer with pretty much our B team. I’m really happy in how things are going, we are making big progress

    What is overplaying?

No one’s demanding to start him over Son in the league. But 20 mins off the bench here and there and a start in Europa over that rotter is more than adequate to ask for.

And if anything he’s being underplayed at the moment as he’s not playing for the 21s. So 70-80 mins every two weeks isn’t actually ideal for any player.

He has been integrated into the first team squad, he's now starting in some games. He had a decent first half and a fantastic second half but he is still learning and as a 17 year old his body is still developing.
I am impressed with how our youngsters are progressing and how the team is. That's now 7 wins in 8 games.
Am I impressed with Werner? No, but I am more (excuse the pun) than happy with the way our team and tactics are developing.

On Saturday it was a brave tactical change in taking g madison off at ht that won us the game. Today Werner was off at ht and MM swapped wings.

All the questions about the subs v Brighton have begun to be answered.

Finally, it is worth remembering the way SAF protected Goggs at the beginning of his career
