In an effort to promote this thread a little more and get it further up the leader board, I wish to ask the following question

Why is this thread the 3rd most viewed thread on our forum with over 266,000 views, only beaten by the Jokes thread and the political thread ?

To give you all some context the previous match day thread against Sheffield United got 5,962 views and the following match day thread against Bristol City got 4,713 views, Both of those threads however did have more replies, Bristol City being top with 217 replies, followed by Sheffield United with 191 views, whilst Watford only had 165 replies.

So there's todays challenge, can this thread close the gap of 130,000 views and take second place from the jokes thread. It will be almost as exciting as this January transfer window thread

Just an update, since I posted my question about why have so many people viewed this thread, the number of viewers has increased by 607, and the thread now totals 267,487 views

That works out at 86 views per hour in the last 7 hours, so if we can maintain this rate, then it will only take 63 days to overtake the number of views on the jokes thread (providing of course no one else goes and views or posts on the jokes thread )

well I think I can say that the view count on this thread has a life of its own.

In the last 15 hours, the view count on this thread has increased by 1,852.

Given that we have the Daily Breakfast Thread by Ell, and also Eire posted a new transfer thread today as well, and between them they have 687 views, I would have expected the view count of those two threads in total to be similar, if not higher than the increased view count of this thread.

Of course I still want this thread to overtake the jokes thread for views just for ****s and giggles, but have decided to cease actively promoting this event as from now

Odd though as this has only 178 posts/replies against 37 and 10 thousand plus on the other threads mentioned. A glitch in the system maybe??
