Saturday 26th October 2024 12:30 pm Ashton Gate Stadium.

Well Well i got a slap in the face 4 points from two tough away games at Boro+Stoke Where we should have taken three points at stoke. Bringing 6 points back to Bristol.

I thought the way we played against Stoke was the best in years.

Leeds are a different level to both Boro and Stoke and are going to be a tough nut to crack-City being backed by a near sellout Ashton Gate.

Play like we did at Stoke and this could be a right royal rumble with goals at both ends.

Leeds will be backed by a sold out away end and are always loud and proud.

Chris Hogg has done a sterling job in covering for Liam Manning and i have to say he has got it spot on with team selection and substitutions so far. I hope he is in charge Saturday.

Williams is out through a ban -i hope that place is taken by George Earthy who came on at Stoke was excellent and deserves a start.

Going to be a tough game and could go either way if we can play like we did against stoke we will give them a game.
I'm going for a home win 3-2 to Bristol City with plenty of goals.

Can’t see us getting anything out of this one, they’re a level above us and are also a bogey team, but what do I know, anything can happen in the championship, so here’s hoping.COYR

    Something has changed?
I’m a Liam supporter, but…… Chris Hogg maybe?

We beat Leeds at home a couple of seasons ago
As Ashton says I also think they are a level above us, but then again I predicted defeats for us at Middlesbrough and Stoke, so what do I know !
As for Chris Hogg, maybe it's the players showing their support for LM at this very difficult time for him ?

City will be asking for big trouble if they play a high press, they are light years ahead of us.
Think we should set up to defend our half, as we did against Leicester last season, and keep any space to a minimum.
Hope they get frustrated and we score late on.

The best form of defence is attack-if were attacking they aint down our end trying to score.

I always thought we’d get at least a point from each of the last 2 games. Neither side are any better than us imo. They, like us are amongst a clutch of clubs battling to finish anywhere from 6-12 come May. Those are the games you can’t lose away from home, and we didn’t.
I’d like to think we could get a point against Leeds as well, but it won’t be easy. How many times in the last couple of years have we had a good 2 game away run, then can’t back it up at home….

Coming home after 2 good games on the road always poses a problem for Bristol City and it is probably down to confidence knowing the Ashton Gate faithful want a home win. Leeds at any time will be a tough fixture and we need to be at our absolute best so let's hope we leave one of the Jekyll and Hyde characters back in the dressing room. Overall this season we have been a bit unpredictable and if we could only get a starting eleven that strikes fear in our opponents so when we go to the bench for reinforcements they won't know what to expect next. Somewhere in our bag of tricks there has to be the basics of a good squad more than capable of holding on to games that may look lost but it's about that time of the campaign when we should know our best tactics, formation and players to get the job done. I really don't think we have many of the mandates sorted as yet but if we truly want to compete then some players need a wake up call and if you are not on board with Liam's tactics and positional play then perhaps you need to have a word with him and sort out the nonsense that must go on in the background. All players need to know the same tune even if it means you have to adjust a little to fit the part, because without that acceptance they are not needed at Ashton Gate. We are still hovering in the right place but at some point we need to land a permanent position in the top 6 and then we can probably look forward to a challenging rest of the season - and who knows?

Wiz he has done well-like what he has done in the two games-perhaps Liam should listen to him more. Be interesting tomorrow if we can hit the Stoke away levels it will be a cracker.

City need to be at the top of their game to get points tomorrow.

Looking close to a sell out for tomorrow as well. Very few tickets left on the City site, and Leeds always sell their allocation. Should be a good atmosphere tomorrow.

In game changes certainly seem better under Hogg, and he does seem to change things up a bit more. His subs aren’t quite so predictable either.

We are far better than you and have a divine right to Premier league football. You are only there to make the numbers up. If your dumb manager changes tactics and goes defensive we’ll win by a mile, if the clown holds to his attacking principles you’ll be so wide open at the back it will all be over before half time.

I sincerely hope that was arrogant enough for you.
