We always look better with Zambrano on the pitch, the only reason I can see for not playing him, is Walter wants to establish his best starting XI and he's expecting to lose him soon. I'm sure Alzate would be playing if he wasn't injured.

Didn't see the game last night but it seems we're still missing a striker. Is it time to give Burstow a decent go?

You can have a different opinion, your entitled to, that's not why you're making yourself look at it, it was the rest of your post that was just completely pointless and as I say....made you look a tit, as a fair few seemed to agree :)

Only thing that makes sense to me OLM, he is an effortless footballer I’d love to see him/Alzate/Puerta together in midfield just to see the levels.

The two South Americans put themselves about a bit too.

I’ll answer your question even though your opinion is not to be trusted if you like goal music

I thought Kamara looked slow to react frustrating and not very enthusiastic, BUT, he created the best chances of anyone (the goal and the ball across the box that Pedro nearly slid in with for two)
So on the way out @askewshair decided he wasn’t slow…he was languid.

But he took us up (twice) which I don't think Wally will do

We definitely need a striker. We've currently got the Ivorian Tom Eaves as our main striker and the Brazilian/Italian Billy Sharp as back up.

We've scored 13 goals in 11 games, but 10 of those were in just 3 games.

Just as alarmingly, take out the 2 penalties, and only 1 goal has been scored by a striker in open play.

Bedia looks a level below a top Championship striker, Pedro looks a desperation signing (Brazilian/Italian Billy Sharp looks spot on unfortunately) and Burstow obviously isn't trusted yet.

This is really costing us. A draw was a fair result last night but which team looked like nicking it at the end? They did - and indeed, they nearly did. We don't have anyone who looks likely to stab a loose ball into the net in the six yard box.

I think he broke the mould..
50 years without missing a game. Its almost unbelievable. Maybe I was a tad naive, but they came across as genuine. This guy as apparently written two books on Burnley FC. He changed his surname to Burnley by deed-pole

Further research. Here he is. Shaking hands with Sean Dyche.

There was his shot at goal in the first half which went a little wide of the right hand post not long after he came on. Three bad touches to get lined up for it and then kicked at it like a girl, there was also someone running into the box centrally to his right who may have been a better option to pass to.

They all need to get out on grass and practice kicking a ball at the goal.

Must admit, that's pretty much exactly how I'm seeing it too atm!!
Disappointing. I'd hoped / expected more from them by now. Still clinging to hope that they'll step up in these next 3. Or time to give Burstow a run?

Pedro to me looked like he was half a yard behind the pace of the game

That word was going through my head in relation to Kamara too. He has that same demeanor as Ebiowei and some other wingers. But unlike Ebiowei, he does seem to find a way to compete most of the time. I thought he was way too soft in his first game but last night he wasn't really outfought even when he looked like he was going to be.

I hope that they're working on Burstow in training, improving him. He's our player, we signed him on a long contract and I thought he looked promising in his one start. Clearly they don't trust him right now but it's obviously a problem position so maybe he can be part of the solution in the coming months.

Regardless, it begs the question why did we yet again neglect the striker position in the summer. We spent big money on three quality wingers, and then in attack we've ended up with an awkward loanee, a limited short-term signing and a youngster we don't trust.
