I will pm you mate. I am driving up with junior, hoping to get there around 1pm so I have time for a pre-match pivo. it has been a while - Rovers in the rain, … or maybe it was dry.
The lad is something else. Far too many people have an opinion on him based purely on what he does on the ball, but the mental side of his game and personality is so important to everyone around him. Add on that cheeky character and him being a genuinely good bloke too and he's irreplaceable at this club. I would have him finish his playing career here and I'd have a job ready for him in the sports psychology department when that time comes. His influence at this club can only be a positive. I think football has changed a little bit and we don't see these kind of players revered in the same way anymore. What more would he need to do to be considered this generations Kevin Ball (in terms of club legend not playing style)?
They're a good side who drew with both West Brom and Burnley. We can't overlook them or we'll drop points.
If football ultimately resorted to the tactics Luton use, I would quit watching the game. Zero skill, zero finesse just bully long ball tactics. Love the way Reg sorted out how to deal with their s hithousery ....we have some manager these days
Salty Luton fans on social media. We seem to be upsetting almost every fanbase we get a result against. Sheff Wed fans told us we only won because we scored with 4 shots on target and Barry Bannan something or other Burnley only lost because of their owners Boro fans won the possession cup and something something our biggest game of the season something Leeds? Well we all know about Leeds. They should just hand them the title already or something Hull only lost because of Bobby Madley Luton only lost because of last night's ref I'm quite enjoying this to be honest
10/10 with the content so far mate ! I gave up the ghost about 11:20 last night so this morning has been a joy to catch up
While I agree with RLB on the fulltime incidents and the players just looking after each other etc... there will almost definitely be a charge from the fa for failing to control the players. Luton keeper started that at the end but got away with **** all against him.
It's definitely fun, but it's just the reaction of every football fan ever. You see it from our fans that the ref is against us every week. Most declared Ipswich ****e last year, some over the road were still talking of them dropping away in March. A lot of football fans are unable to see the other perspective. Obviously when it comes to us, no opposition teams understand that we actually like soaking up pressure and are good at it. Springing those counters is a tactic we like. If Luton had scored from pressing us high last night, they'd have seen great attacking pressure and we'd have seen a defensive error. Same happens the other way.
Another view of the lads looking out for each other. Where has O'Nien put his hand and the look on Jobe's face
Can't even watch it as this muppet did not see that every time they lost the ball a Luton player goes down for a free kick. He did not see any of the off the ball infringements and obstructions, or any of the numerous pushes in the back without even trying for the ball. I did think the ref was weak as piss and think he was dangerously close to losing control of the game, but we played that game and showed some class and restraint in the face of some 1985 bully boy tactics employed by Luton. They thought they could kick us up a height and our young team would crumble, but I think some of them boys became men in that game.
Couldn't agree more mate. We're building a team here that's understanding how to manage the multitude of things in this league. These young players are growing match by match.....you can see it developing. Oxford Saturday will be a different challenge......I'm looking forward to seeing these players step up to meet it.
Watched a little of this as much as I could stomach anyway. What a total knacker. Horrible club Horrible tactics and don't like it up em. Thanks for the points see you for the return game.
Tremendous win that, rode our luck at times but to be expected given their antics and the mostly inexperienced lads in our team. For all that nobody took a backward step and a few of our lads grew up inside 90 minutes. Onto Saturday with 6 points from 2 games where many would have been happy to avoid defeat in those games. We need to back it up with another win and really crank up the pressure on the teams immediately below us. RLB absolutely owned Edwards by the way.
I’ve read comments online this morning from Burnley, Sheff Utd and particularly Leeds fans saying they’re happy we won and keep winning as, like last night, we keep taking points off their promotion rivals.
more salt from the luton fans than there is in a fish n chip shop. we cant celebrate a win as it looks like we've won the league, may good thought we'd got rid of this sh1t in L1
