Stunning win that. Gave everything and once it opened up for us we hurt them. Mepham btw, wow. 6 points from hull and Luton away is outstanding

His physical aspects are absolutely essential for our midfield.

Massive massive 3 points that. Probably the hardest away ground to go to in this league, certainly one of them.

Thought we rode our luck at times they won so many first balls around the box they should’ve scored more, Morris was a problem. Every game isn’t going to be straight forward though and we not only dealt with it but won the game. Huge test of character to stay in the game under that kind of pressure.

No idea who got booked there at the end but their keeper is a ****ing arsehole and needed a yellow as a minimum!

Class result. It looks good when you can grind out results like that!

Think i've heard our fans talk about a tall, physical midfielder for 15 years and we've finally got one

Sunderland in a nutshell. They all made mistakes but they were all brilliant at times also. Big hearts and give everything. Top of the league and the future is Red & White. Enjoy the ride 24/25, its going to be good.

That's an absolutely brilliant result, could well be one that defines the season.

They were rough and physical but we played the dark arts right back and **** housed in our own way.

We were a different team in the last 35 minutes, we got a bit of confidence and our players adapted to the game.

I feel like we'd have gone into our shells and been turned over on previous years. That's a huge tick in the character box for me.

Iwelumo can suck this, the same as the Hull gaffer.

Worst Sky comms I've ever heard, in my life
    ...ever....ever...ever......I can't shpeeaak.

And I've listened to a fair bit of Neville and Carragher over the years.

09 further establishing himself as a legend! Faultless performance today, but it's the embellishments that cement it. Impossible not to love him!

What a win, the fight in this team is unreal. They tried to bully us but the boys never backed down. 2nd half was so much better from us, we controlled the tempo better both in n out of possession

Either of the 2 CBs for motm for me, both were different class

What a player Mepham is, one of the best CBs I can remember playing for us tbh

Rigg what a talent, dug in tonight and had a real moment of quality - as did Mundle mind

Browne came into the game, Neil was good again (couple mistakes aside), Jobe just dominated that 2nd half (best box to box midfielder in the league now imo)
