The Thing. A top film <ok> They've made a prequel to it based on what happened when the Norwegian scientists blasted it out of the ice. It'll probably be s..te <grr>

Is this a remake of the original fifties film? The Carpenter one was a sequel. The original had a group of scientists finding a UFO under the ice with a frozen thingie in it ( don't remember them being Norwegian though)
Primitive special effects- the monster was a man in a rubber suit- but the build-up of tension was great.
Scared the **** out of me as a nipper.

Not sure you can prove a negative - unfortunately, one of the reasons science will never dispatch the ludicrous hydra which is religion. White swan hypothesis and all that...

RHC: On a similar sciencey note, what do you make of the alledgedly faster than light neutrinos?

P.s. I'm very p*ssed off with the Lucas injury - I really hope our team spirit will allow us to compensate for what's, let's face it, a massive loss!

That's the feller saint. I too watched it when I was a kid. Ny Dad woarned me and I was scared s..tless too. They were Yanks in the original too. Carperter's The Thing was an updated version, and far better in my opinion.

They can prove conclusively whether it exists one way or another.

I'm not having anything travelling faster than the spped of light. Other dimensions maybe.

Don't be lazy. Get out and get some rindless smoked back bacon and make sure you've got HP sauce in. It's the only way.

Has to be HP original sauce, the spicy one- none of yer fruity nonsense.

No snow yet, Bluff- we've had the mildest Autumn (Fall) for yonks.
