Roberts on the bench I was expecting that after reading this afternoon However it’s just for a rest I hope because he is still a player we need every week He still has a lot to offer I know he is not a regular goal scorer but he can still cause the opposition major problems
Not the biggest fan of using Rigg wide. Would really like us to target a right winger with a similar skillset to Mundle in January.
I fancy a win for us tonight but think it'll be by 1 goal, fancy hull to get something off Burnley as well
Perhaps I'm naive but I'm expecting Browne to be wide right as I said this morning. Makes sense to me, Rigg is a goal threat nearer to goal. Perhaps Mundle will play wide right
There’s a little bit of me expecting Browne as rwb and a 3 but can’t fathom the Mundle position so maybe he is wide right.
Just seen this post. I think they’ll firm up the full back positions to cut out crosses but can’t see how they all slot in together. We’ll find out soon enough
Great thread usual @RTB, really enjoy reading through it all on matchday. The Mrs is hooked up to R2D2, due to finish at 7.30pm, so should be all done and dusted by 7.40.....just in time. I'm confident tonight, I'm going for a 2 - 1 win for the lads. Rigg or Jobe with one, and Isidor with the other. Ha'Way The Lads.
What an idiot, I hoped he was wrong, lets hope Luton never saw it, we dont need to give them any help
A little surprised at the team selection. I dont subscribe to the view you dont change a winning team, more that I think our defensive shape has been so good I wonder about the right hand side a bit now. Roberts does his share of blocking space off out of possession. Not sure we will see the best of Rigg if he is asked to play wide. I wonder if we see more of a 4231 tonight with Rigg and Mundle narrower and we try to exploit their centre backs more. Interesting to see what our master tactician Regis has come up with, no doubt it will be the right call.
Looks like a 4/4/2 to me and pack the field and leave at least one of the speed merchants free up front
