Considering the advice is being given by Jonathan Ashworth, it should be Kamala Harris reporting them to the US Electoral Commission
When the local residents look at somebody who claims to be local (but isn't, given he lives in London) and decides to vote Tory that makes it abundantly clear that, no, he would not have made a good MP. That's why his campaign was soundly criticised at the time, as he was standing on a platform of...of? Okay, there seems to be an issue here, because he didn't actually campaign on a platform of anything, which suggests that giving somebody who failed to communicate a single reason for the people of Stockton to elect him over the Tory candidate is not somebody to be putting in charge of Policy & Communications That would be like Starmer sending Jonathan Ashworth to advise Kamala Harris' campaign, and nobody would be so monumentally stupid to do something like... https://labourlist.org/2024/08/2024...hworth-labour-together-kamala-harris-chicago/ ...well if Harris loses her home state we'll know why
I think your Jezza blinkers are working overtime mate! Not only was Tory Vickers the sitting MP for the main part of the new Constituency, but the Tories had ploughed serious money and facilities into that area. Since 2019 when they won the seat, Stockton West received a new diagnostic hospital and a further £40million+ towards other hospitals. £57.5million has been invested in Stockton’s schools with new teaching blocks, halls and facilities, and work is about to begin on a new vocational training centre. A new Freeport business park is being built to attract investment and create as many as 4,400 jobs. That’s not to mention the brand new train station being built to serve an expanded local retail park. I think you'll find that had a lot more to do with Labour only closing the gap from 5k to 2k and not taking the seat, rather than any concerns about their candidate.
It's just a complete coincidence that Labour have a track record of losing elections and by-elections in seats where they impose candidates on them, for example... Blaenau Gwent in 2005 Hartlepool in 2021 Uxbridge & South Ruislip in 2023 I think that has something to do with doing just enough to get the Tories one seat in the North East

Farage has criticised the decision, shockingly. Equally unsurprisingly it turns out that he's been using UK donors cash to support Trump. Turns out that's illegal. Lock him up! Lock him up!
I imagine the same RW voices defending the actions of these thugs will also soon be supporting this pos when he gets a huge judgement against him! No better than a wannabe Alex Jones - would be lovely to see him facing a similar financial future! https://www.bbc.com/news/articles/cj0j8r8558yo
I give you a host of current (post-2019) reasons that might have tipped the balance in favour of the sitting Tory MP and in return you can only quote 3 election results over nearly 20 years and the fact that the Constituency born&bred Candidate was living in London as evidence of Labours error in 'imposing' a candidate. Think I'll stick with my evidence for now
I mentioned those three i.) Because they were off the top of my head, and it says a lot that one was Blair and the other two were Starmer (and one of those was last year, so blaming Corbyn for that is remarkably Last Leg) ii.) The Tories have ****ed (by-)elections in the exact same way in the last dozen or so years with lists of preferred candidates under Cameron and May, but I couldn't remember which ones those were off the top of my head iii.) I very clearly stated the local party did not select Streeting's other half for the seat, so get those quotation marks off the word imposed because it is a valid and accurate comment to make given he was imposed on the constituency
And anybody who thinks morons who chant or post bad comments online deserve to be in prison more than sex offenders and wife beaters is in an even worse head space and needs even more help.
No-one is in jail for chanting or posting comments on line though so your argument fails completely. Most of those in jail have pleaded guilty to the offence of Violent Disorder which, incidentally, was introduced by Thatcher's Government.
I've had somebody on one site threaten to post photos taken off my Photobucket to a *****phile hunter site just because I made them look like the ignorant **** that they always were So yeah, I think that certain people deserve prison sentences for what they post online, considering I had somebody threaten to have a friend of mine murdered (as they didn't figure out that the photos he was talking about weren't even of me) and helpfully post a trail of evidence of that online
I wonder what would have happened if she wore a t-shirt of UN peacekeepers in Beirut having white phosphorous dropped on them...?
