    Remember when we were apparently going in for this lad (was it last Jan or August?) .. Moved from Sporting Lisbon to Nice and according to the guardian (i know i know) FIFA have not ratified to deal so he is available on a free transfer. Villa are apparently going in for him, would be a very good snip on a free like.

    Do you reckon we should be going in for him? .. Small, fast and good finisher .. Just what we need IMO.

    I saw this this morning as well and it caught my imagination.

    Cracking player and for FREE. Demba Ba and this kid could the best value for money partnership in history.

    If Villa get him and we dont even try I will be disappointed.

    Thought he'd already agreed to sign with Villa? Unless that was another striker but as far as i know it was a done deal.

    Yea i looked him up some more and i have seen that mentioned but i dont think its a done deal.. Although wiki says it is ..

    He's gave Villa his word that doesn't mean its a done deal though. Get in and snap him up

    I'm sure our scouts/board will of known about this in the press etc. I trust their judgement on him and if they aren't going for him then there has to be reason.

    Everyone knows we love a free bargain.

    We should make the most of our good position in January and strengthen with at least a couple of players. Where we are in the table right now will be a big draw to many players. Must admit I've never seen this bloke play, but just in general.

    Big name, big rep, big salary? I don't think he is a MA signing even if he is free. Would be a quality signing though.

    No way .. hes not a big name at all .. hardly anyone has heard of him, im sure i speak for many others when i say he's only known by us because we were linked with him.

    Was still making his name, just breaking into Sporting's first team a few seasons ago.

    His somewhat controversial move to Nice was only for 4.5m euros .. and as we of all clubs know, players in france are not on the highest of wages.. Arent we supposed to be trebling Maiga's wages if he comes.

    Really? While I am no genius when it comes to footballers, I had heard if Djalo since 2007! If we did get him, I would be very impressed!

    You must of followed Sporting quite a bit !! .. Only made his debut at the end of 2006 for them .. fair enough you know more than me on that one then .. But yea i would be very happy with him .. imagine him and Ba !!

    Ha it may or may not have been because of FM 2007 :bandit:. I have been tracking him for some time though. He would be immense alongside Ba. If Villa get him I will be gutted!
