I’m not impressed with Mehlem. Flatters to deceive and I can’t understand how he kept making the starting 11.

Lightweight, runs around a lot, not a great passer and not a great tackler, did I say he runs around a lot?

A number of the guys on the podcast have said similar, I think it could be the player and manager churn so there's very few familiar faces, so there's a bit of a disconnect with the team at the moment.

I think the fact we all know we’re going nowhere this season makes it difficult to get too invested.

We were going nowhere under the Allams back in 2018/19 but I still felt more invested and excited that season, perhaps because of the emergence of Bowen. If Jarvis had taken to the Championship this season with 3-4 goals and locked down a place in the XI maybe we'd feel more excited.

Last season we had a manager that was happy, engaged well with fans and was very open and personable, had history with the club and it’s best years, and – however you feel about his style – got off to a cracking start and had a really strong season with a squad of very likeable players with an atmosphere of positivity around the direction of the club as a whole... then we sacked the manager, messed around all summer with transfers, sold most of our well-liked players, hired a manager who doesn’t like to give much away in interviews and sometimes seems difficult to read, signed lots of new players that we need to get to know, sacked a key member of the team in Tan (with rumours of fraud), have an owner that is distracted by his new role at Fenerbahce, and have a team playing in a way that is experimental and inconsistent. It feels a lot to take in after what was quite a safe and comfortable year.

It's hard to watch us go backwards in a league that looks wide open.

Plenty of us said it made no sense to risk it all in January when there were 4 very good teams that were always highly likely to be better than us. That led to a lot of wasted money and no stability.

People will make all the excuses under the sun, and have done, but Sunderland were a decent team but they were so beatable with a few minor adjustments. People have said they're top of the league as some excuse, but they probably won't be come May, it was just a real opportunity to beat them and it feels like a similar story to the other games we've had against decent sides.

Like the ones Rosie made us play sideways in , especially Plymouth away . The previous poster now doesn’t like Tim’s quiet ways - how much stick did Rosie get for talking too much !! Nobody could satisfy some people .

If only he had adopted this approach at City.

Sorry you have personal stuff going on. That will be the reason. When life gets involved, the football sinks in importance. Hope you manage to put the personal stuff behind you soon and then you can enjoy your playtime

No, he was poor on Sunday and will probably benefit from a chance to regain his fitness and form.
Wonder who will replace him. Slater or Palmer probably. Even if either Alzate or Omur are fit again, I doubt he’ll start them and rather use them as impact subs.
Not convinced by Palmer yet though.

Just because I'm kind and helpful ......
Liam Rosenior: "We played against one of the best teams in Europe. They cause problems for everyone. I'm proud of the way I played that nobody dares to here. If you want to have chances against a team like that, you have to take risks. I'd rather concede goals and try something than play low and wait and hope I don't concede. In England they call that 'slow death'. I refuse to do that."

Why are you quoting the Strasbourg manager in here?
