In an astonishing interview outside Primark, Newcastle today, a spokesman for the Deluded Inbred of Craas Kinsmen (or D.I.C.K.s for short) told a reporter that "Martin O Neill was crap like and wuud'nt get into the toon starting line up". When notified that MoN was in fact a very successful and well respected manager not a player he responded " aye like aa knaa like but he cuud'nt get into our managers team either cos he is crap and arrl that stuff like". At that moment the spotty faced youth was called back into the store when someone shouted "Chapped Arse, your'e on toilet cleaning duty again so get going" from the back door. Chapped Arse then shouted has ThrillerinAsprilla finished cleaning his teeth with the brush I need to clean the netties with?" Much other gnashing of teeth and cussing could be heard eminating from the area of NE1 regarding how ****e O Neill was really.
Do you not mean standing outside the sports direct arena !, anyhow they would have if Mourinho and Ferguson were in charge here with the man city billions we still would not finish above them!.
It amuses me how this and http://www.not606.com/showthread.php/105661-Martin-O-Neill-Is-he-past-his-best are the top two currently.
Haha I don't think you will catch us up, as I can't see us slipping up too much. 7th is the lowest we will go IMO, even though top 10 would still be a good season. But I could have done with Bruce staying in charge a little longer just to make sure
I can't see us catching you now either but its gonna be fun trying and I reckon your arses will be putting ever so slightly now whereas under Bruce you had it all your own way for the past 12 months. Lol
I think O'Neill is the right choice for you lot, particularly in the short-ish term. He is a very good motivator of players and should give your players the kick up the arse they really need. With the funds Short releases he should be able to guide you to comfortable top half finishes but not sure if he'll take you any further than that. Think you'll probably rise to mid-table and kick on a little next season, what a difference because your team absolutely stank of relegation under Agent Bruce. As a Toon I'm gutted Brucey's gone but Short's made a pretty good choice. The only other good option was really Hughes, but O'Neill was probably the best one available to him given the circumstances. Here's to hotly-contested derbies in the future.
I'm sure it would help! I'll see about parcelling up some of our luck and sending it down to you. For a fee of course! Two particular highlights of the package are buying unknown players and them turning out to be brilliant and training youth team players and turning them into good starting XI players .
