Met Police firearms officer Martyn Blake has been found not guilty of the murder of Chris Kaba. That's a relief quite frankly as a guilty verdict would have opened a huge can of worms. At the end of the day Kaba tried to escape by trying to ram his way out of the police block and was putting their lives at risk. Police officers have a hard enough job without being charged for doing their job. CPS way overstepped the mark here by charging Blake in the first place.
To make it worse , just a few weeks before he found out his cancer was terminal , his wife was diagnosed with an aggressive variant of MS
I’m not a fan of Halloween and trick or treating but this story warms my heart ❤️. Big-hearted neighbours of a six-year-old deaf girl are learning British Sign Lang-uage so she can trick or treat for the first time. Ada Hawkes always wanted to join in the Halloween tradition with her mum, Tilly. But darkness and mask-wearing make lip reading and interaction difficult. So Tilly, backed by the National Deaf Children’s Society, asked locals to learn BSL for phrases such as: “You look spooky”. And 60% of households in their Worcester neighbourhood have done it, putting up signs in their window to let Ada know Tilly said: “We’re really looking forward to taking her out trick or treating. “Having her neighbours communicate with her in BSL is so exciting.”

One of my favourite memories of Geoff was when he was on Bullseye throwing for charity. Geoff got a low score which Tony Green read out. Geoff grabbed Tony and said " That was 180" to which Tony quickly agreed.
This is incredible. A surgeon has found a way to remove large brain tumours through patients’ eyebrows in what is believed to be a world-first. The NHS’s Anastasios Giamouriadis has adapted keyhole surgery to extract apple-sized cancers. It leaves less scarring than regular craniotomies. The consultant neurosurgeon and his team have carried out the new procedure – which takes half the usual time of eight hours – on 48 patients. Mr Giamouriadis, of NHS Grampian, North East Scotland, said: “It is more challenging technically but it takes probably half the time, if not less. “The patient will go home the second day and be back to normal life in most occasions within a week or two.”
