Xig... This thread has had some great debate as well as some fantastic info. If you really want to keep this ticking along with relevant F1 debate and prevent it from being closed like so many other, why don't you take the moral high ground, drop it and get back to the topic?
i would be more than happy to after i have had a few hours sleep --- will be back on here tomorrow afternoon sometime to talk formula 1 and nothing else --
Cosi, thanks for the info on drifting/braking etc. Think I got my head round the principles Always good to read some well written 'clap-trap' and 'mumbo-jumbo' amongst a whole hoard of superior opinions of no substance and nothing to back them up
Seems to me that we've reached an 'imp arse' - sorry - an impasse. Martial continues to treat people with disdain and won't recognise any point that's presented to him, we've all become tired of hitting our heads against the wall. Sounds like it's time to move on.
Looks like it has been taken care of. BLS, is it just a 'calm down dear' temporary ban so he can consider his attitude towards others?
I'm not even going to try and clear this up. Great double post Cosi, really informative and well written. Thanks for taking the time to post it.
It is a great pleasure AG. I am happy to take the time to explore some of the finer points when there is a hope that it may be understood. The encouragement such as shown by yourself and many others, to share this stuff with people I'm unlikely to ever meet, makes the effort seem worthwhile. My only regret is that I left out a couple of things, but my fear was that it was already far too much for a debate such as this. Nonetheless, it seems it was not wasted; so I'd like to thank everyone who has taken a genuine interest and hope that it may give those who have, a better insight into some of the extreme subtleties (if that's not a contradiction in terms!) of motor racing towards the sharp end. Cheers All. Over and out for now. © P.S. It was actually an interesting exercise for me to attempt an explanation without the use of diagrams, which are very useful for some of the more technical stuff.
