I didn’t see any of the game.

Select your top three, in order.

Bedia - thought he was great today and v unlucky not to score
Drameh - some excellent bursting runs
    Hughes - impressive home debut

Quite a few pretty good performances: Coyle, Kamara, Simons, Puerta.

I still struggle to understand Walter’s fixation with Mehlem who was, again, pretty meh.

Hughes - impressive, strong, quick and commanding.
    Puerta - positivity. and pace.
Coyle - another good display but occasional
lapses to looking back rather than moving forwards

Hughes.. was different class first half, one header almost reached the halfway line, excellent defending…
Puerta.. gonna be a big player for us once he’s up to speed…
Bedia… the man is a rock, every defender bounces off him, so unlucky with one off the woodwork but he literally runs his lungs out, another 10 players like that we’d walk this league.

    1. Hughes. Looked very assured.
    2. Coyle. Usual captains performance. I felt for him when he went to applaud the North Stand at the end and there were only about two dozen people in it.
    3. Drameh, although he should have taken one for the team and done a professional foul on the Sunderland player who ran through from the half way line to score.
    ....
Bedia had a good twenty minutes in the second half, but I thought he was lazy in the first as was Kamara.
I thought it was another very naive performance tactically by City, the players look all over the place, not that Sunderland were any great shakes themselves, and the winning goal was almost a carbon copy to the 1st v Sheff Utd, courtesty of an assist by the referee who I thought had an absolute stinker.
I came away disappointed again and thinking the players don't look happy or at ease with the formation. in fact they looked knackered at times. Having said that there was nothing between the teams that a bit of tactical nous would have sorted out, unfortunaltley we dont seem to have it.
Don't know why Connolly was booed either.
Great away support were as ours was tepid to say the least.
    .....
