We shouldn’t have been out of sight after the first half, some great saves by their GK and unlucky finishes from us. Unable to gain any sustained pressure and forward passing after Nunez and Slimane came off
I thought there seemed to be more players standing off rather than diving in today which I thought suggested it was part of the game plan
Yes, but it took an accidental ricochet off Sargent to give him -- an unmarked player with a clear sight of goal -- the ball! It's as though his teammates think he's there to service others, rather than being a goal scorer himself. For another example of a pass to Crnac that never came, see my post #96 on the Hull match thread.
Several occasions of player greed in there. Taking a shot when others were much better placed for a simple pass and goal opportunity. Doyle not up to his usual standards.
I thought Pelach was the clear psycho-ops winner over Sainz. It looked to me as if Borja was determined to put one over him by scoring, and that led to some poor decision-making.
