Graham Potter and Eddie Howe are both English and stand out English managers. They are not as good as Tuchel though. I think Carsley should have sung the 'English' national anthem. His excuse was pathetic. The first match was against Ireland who he played for and he didnt want to piss them off. I can accept Tuchel might not sing the national anthem and it's reasonable because he's German but he might give it a go.
Why wouldn't Tuchel sing the song of his compatriots? The views expressed in my posts are not necessarily mine.
Saxe-Coburg-Gotha, beautiful British name. That is all. The views expressed in my posts are not necessarily mine.
I don't doubt his professionalism or his abilities as a manager, but even in the event of a World Cup or Euros win a foreign manager cheapens the victory. As Wayne Rooney commented, it's a very strange feeling - and not in a good way - to witness your foreign manager watching his own nation play at a tournament you're still a part of (in his case, Capello and Italy). I like Tuchel but I would rather have seen an English coach take the reins
Depends what with. Obviously only one answer if with fish and chips. Though some misguided people with underdeveloped taste buds would give the wrong one.
Mushy peas are acceptable, along with salt and non brewed condiment. But nothing else. I also like black pepper on mushy peas.
But they would have chosen an English manager but they decided to follow the lead of one of Englands top teams. If a German is good enough for ULL then it has to be the right choice for England.
I’d like to see all the players march out of the tunnel in his first game under him. We need to get some proper banter back from him.
You dont have to be a world class club manager to do well internationally. It’s a different skill set. Southgate did better than loads of top class club managers - capello etc.
