It did stop for awhile but when AP tried to resurrect the atmosphere it started again.

The club have been considering getting rid of it, I know a couple of people who've been asked for their thoughts on what should replace it, but no-one's managed to come up with anything particularly brilliant. The pre-kick off music was definitely supposed to change for this season, but for some reason that didn't happen either.

Boothferry Park was way better, half the stuff he came out with was like a stand-up act.

Jeremy Clarkson should be lined up and shot.........in front of his famil.

Thing is if that happened, his family would probably stand there and applaud!

I keep harping back to the Ipswich away game when we go pronoted to the Prem. They simply played loud rock music tracks all of which had very distinctive beats.

    The whole place was rockin!

Maybe bring back the Tiger Rag Music for when the players come out of the tunnel. Loved that tune. """Tiger Rag, The fighting fury and all that""" classic.

I suspect that until improvements can be made then leave it alone. Dont dislike what they do at the moment.

i think that the nation is split 50/50 over what Clarkson said. it was funny. even a lady in the question time audience last night said ""her sister was on strike and apauled by it"" but she thought it funny. far to many serious people around these days who are easily offended.

My wife's a public servant. She's not had a pay rise of any kind for 4years. That erodes on'e sense of humour a bit when one is preached at by some lazy kunt who "earns" his living phuking around in fast cars.

Hope the nob loses his job.

The thing about Clarkson is he is an unofficial comedian. He is a comedian but disguised as, as, as, .....anyway if he was just a stand-up we may not like all his stuff but he would get away with it. For now though it's just his opinion wrapped in his humour. If we start banning stuff like that, where would it end.
I cannot stand the man himself, he behaves just like an overgrown schoolboy bully.

But just before his shoot em statement, he did thanks the strikers for striking as it made a difference to the traffic on the roads, and it was easier to get around.

That was Martin Hainstock wasn't it? He fell out with AP shortly after the move to the KC over being too scruffy and stopped doing City games but still did FC matches. He died soon after and there is now a plaque in the players' tunnel bearing his name.

As for the Clarkson thing. I don't find him particularly funny but that is his humour and is everything he is known for, to complain of being offended after watching a Clarkson interview because he was too rude just sounds like someone looking to be offended to me. Why else would they watch him?

His point was pretty flawed though because as Strov says, he gets paid millions for doiing **** all (which he described as working for a living.)

I used to think he was pretty terrible but then after visiting some away grounds found that most of them are equally cringey. I used to like the last bloke who did it but he died didn't he?

All correct, it wasn't so much the pre-match build up that he did that was funny, it was the announcements he used to make during the games at Boothferry Park. Instead of just reading the announcement, he'd add a bit at the end, like 'would Simon Taylor please call his wife immediately' then he'd wait a minute and then say 'you're in a lot of trouble'. Or 'would the owner of the Ford Fiesta parked in the disabled area please move it immediately', then after a minute 'and your tax disc's run out'.

I had a good long booze with Martin in the Tap and Spile down Spring Bank once.

Really nice guy and City thru and thru. We chatted about the Waggy Chiilo days.

The best line he ever threw IMHO was that one when he announced how much time there was left at the end of the last game of a promotion season and said "There will be 3 more minuted of Division 2 football for Hull City"
