LeG on SW has posted this. Has been ITK in the past but I can't see this one: "I'm pretty sure the club have sounded out Potter over the international break. Leicester at home is RM's last chance IMO"
Struggle to see the appeal for Potter - Id'd have thought his stock was somewhat higher than us. I think he only shows an interest if he's applied for a few other higher up jobs and been rejected already and wants a way back in sooner rather than later
"Give him one more game" is a bit of a weird one though - does that mean "if he wins it, keep him. If he loses, can"? I'd have "if Potter is up for it, make the change after the weekend" as one. I'd probably vote for that.
I’ve seen enough to know we’re going down with him in charge, as much as I like him. With an appropriate appointment we can at least make it a relegation scrap.
I wouldnt say i was keen on him or wanting to sack him, but I'd expect him to play a more pragmatic style that plays to the strengths of the players he has. And make it harder to score goals against us, move the ball quicker. That said, I think Lallana would be able to do these things better than we currently are under Martin. Not that I am advocating Lallana, but think they may give it to him if we lose to Leicester and they haven't got anyone lined up immediately. Even if we win, I still don't want Martin. Sounds harsh, but never wanted him last season, or when or our good run. I don't like the football we generally play, at all, and think we are 100% down with him, and maybe we can get better with someone else. I would expect we will get better with someone else.
I've gone with the final option mainly because I think that he is a gifted man manager who I believe has the players very much still with him. He does need to tweak the possession game a bit though with more judicious passing out from the back and more tempo to the attacking play. Work still needs to be done with defensive set pieces too.

Well I’m glad we’re all on the same page. The most important thing is finishing 20th with the highest possession stats.
