After hearing about the scotch celebrate our loss to the bubbles it’ll be interesting to see their result this afternoon no bad feelings though Forest , all in jest
These breaks are such a depressing grind. After a major tournament there shouldn't be any International football for at least 1 year. Nobody is interested in the Nations' League. Save a lot of money and give some players a bit more time off. The fact that we're going through all this again in four weeks' time is a damned nuisance. All we've learned is that Carsley doesn't want the job. Can't say I blame him. You have to be a performing monkey in a blazer.
Heard a laugh-a-minute debate on SSN about the possibility of Pep taking over as England manager - possibly even part-time - if it all gets too dodgy at Man City. It is a truly daft notion, but it did make me chuckle. Pep's a great manager, one of the best. But the way they talk about him you'd think the bloke can walk on water. There is far too much wrong with the system for England's problems to be solved by simply appointing a new manager - however good he's supposed to be. Man Utd have the same problem. As Charlton do. Firing & hiring is always the cop-out. Allowing the real bunglers to carry on stealing their wages behind the scenes..
I can’t see Pep getting the job. I think it is a pipe dream. Pep is an incredible manager. Yes he has had a lot of money to spend but Manure have spent lots of money and so have Chelsea and look where they are. I don’t understand the antipathy towards Man City, I can only think it is jealousy.
He’s on £20m a year at City and the FA are willing to pay £7m a year. I am glad Carsley is out of the running.
Curious decision by the FA. Thomas Tuchel won't take any of their virtue signalling crap. Never mind whether or not he sings the National Anthem or wears a poppy If England fall short in 2026 Tuchel won't fall on his sword - he'll stab those crusty old farts in the back with it. What was the point of St Georges Park and all the money they splurged on it? We might as well have hired a German manager 10 years ago. We'd probably have won something by now.
I’m unsure as to whether or not this is the correct appointment. Ideally I’d have an English man but is there really one up to the task?
I think Tuchel is a good appointment. His CV is on a different level to Graham Potters. Tuchel can’t start until 1 January due to his severance payment deal with Bayern Munich. To demonstrate what an utter farce football has become, Tuchel won’t be allowed to concentrate on World Cup qualification next year. If England finish as runners up in their Nations League group in November, they have to play play off games next Spring to get promoted in this league If the FA are sensible, they will throw England’s two Nations league games in November. PS why is that spitting dickhead Jamie Carragher saying on TV tonight that the manager should be English. He got all of his England caps under that well known Englishman Sven Goran Erikkson.
Carragher was caught on camera spitting on a football fan a few years ago. He's a disgusting man who shouldn't get a second air time. Pardew is another gob merchant. Vieira and Rikkaard another two. It crosses a line.
