<peacedove>Who can predict that Steve Bruce is not going to be incharge of
Sunderland this weekend.?Martin O'Neil has agreed to be Sunderland manager.
Can it be Andre Villa- Boas of Chelsea.? His friends are already pleading for him, for
the first time in many years Chelsea is going to Newcastle under serious pressure,
then they face Velencia in the Champion league and Manchester City at home next week
end.I also think Roman Abramovich is having second thoughts whether to wield the axe
or not because he sacked too many good managers before. Some jobless managers are
already waiting in the wings.Arsene Wenger survived early crisis in the season, can
Andre Villa- Boas survive this tornado.?
Steve Keane- Blackburn supporters refused to get off his back: usually the owners
are going to take this very seriously.
My Crystal ball tells me one this men is next.:emoticon-0103-cool:<ok>

AVB. Kean's job is safe because the blackburn owners don't seem to share a single brain cell between them.

I just think that with Guus Hiddink available, and the previous dalliance they had having been so successful, he'd be a shoe-in. The only way to stop it is for Chelsea to go on a winning run between now and January.

I provided stats on another thread http://www.not606.com/showthread.php/105022-Managers-under-pressure. which indicated Hiddink being more successful wins-wise than even Mourinho, without having spent a single penny, and Vilas Boas being the worst (even worse than Ranieri over his entire time at Chelsea).

Apparently RA and AVB have a 3 year plan... That will ultimately lead to AVB getting sacked

Andre Villas-Boas says he will not be sacked by Chelsea this season
Chelsea not in crisis - Villas-Boas
Chelsea manager Andre Villas-Boas claims club owner Roman Abramovich has promised not to sack him - even if he fails to win a trophy this season.

The Blues face Newcastle on Saturday after losing five of their last nine games, including three at home.

Villas-Boas did admit a trophy less campaign would be a "failure".

But the Chelsea boss added: "I have that assurance [that I won't be sacked]. The board have been fully supportive."

Chelsea were knocked out of the League Cup by Liverpool on Tuesday.

They now face a crucial period in their season - beginning with Saturday's visit to Newcastle, followed by a Champions League group tie with Valencia on Tuesday.

The Blues must win or keep a clean sheet in their final group game at Stamford Bridge if they are to progress.

After that, they host Premier League leaders Manchester City on Monday, 12 December - who they already trail by 10 points.

Under Abramovich, Claudio Ranieri, Jose Mourinho, Avram Grant, Luiz Felipe Scolari and Carlo Ancelotti have all left because of results.

But Villas-Boas reckons he will not be sacked - citing his three-year contract and the fact the Russian owner paid £13m to release him from former club Porto - as proof.

The Chelsea boss also defended his side's attacking style of play and says he has the backing of his players.

He added: "They [the players] will never lose faith because the philosophy is not a cancer of this football club. The philosophy is not the reason why we are losing games, it's a misconception.

"Philosophy is playing good football for the fans - good football to try to win games. We have been trying to do that."

Villas-Boas, who also has the backing of former Chelsea boss Avram Grant, added: "We just have to pull ourselves together again. I was brought in for a three-year project and we believe in that."

Scolari was ousted by the players in the main, led by Ballack, Drogba and Le Sulk, according to newspaper reports at the time. It seems that AVB isn't winning over Terry, Lampard and Anelka this time round either.

I wouldn't put any faith in 'three year plans' or back of the board. How many times have we heard that kind of cobblers, only a half dozen games later, P45:- "ta very much, and don't let the doors hit your arse on the way out... ...Miss Jones, tell the next sucker to report to the ground for a shirt-holding photo shoot with the journos please."

Players power..when a manager is not having support of his players he is doomed.Torres is not happy too, you can see it in his body language.
Do they want to play for him or not.?? The ghost of Jose Mourinho is unlikely to leave Chelsea.<ok>
