Me and the lad listened to the album today. His first time. Didnt move him as much as it did me to be fair. Love this performance.

What a coincidence Rooch, I had a couple of hours to myself this morning and listened to On the Boards on the turntable. Vinyl sounds so much better, especially when you crank it up

I hate to think back as I would end up shooting myself. When vinyl became unpopular I sold all my albums at a car boot sale for £2 each.

That's a shame Rooch, newly pressed albums are not the same quality as the ones we had. My kids bought me a cheap(ish) turntable for my birthday in June and it made me get all of my vinyl out. Now I want to get up in the loft and get my Technics system out and replace the bits that were knackered when I put it all up there.

I had a Sony turntable and the sound was brilliant. I still kept my stack system which is in the loft, it’s also a brilliant bit of kit as well, a Wharfdale, can blow the house roof off<laugh>

Had it in the back of my mind that The Kane Gang were from Sunderland. Wiki tells me formed in Seaham so not that far away. Also says that they’re on at The Fire Station in November. Anyway, at the time that song came out I would’ve instinctively called it crap. Listening to it now and it’s pretty good really.

Sony was a brilliant system Rooch, too expensive for me as an apprentice though.
Apparently old systems go for quite a bit of money now because of the build quality
