Liam Manning will spend some time away from the club following the death of his baby son Very sad and tragic news
Everyone at Bristol City Football Club is deeply saddened by the passing of Liam’s recently born son Theo John Manning. We know that Bristol City’s supporters and the wider football family will share their condolences and deepest sympathy with Liam, his wife Fran and his son Isaac during this difficult period. Liam will take a period of absence, and all football duties will be carried out by Chris Hogg. We ask that the privacy of Liam and his family is respected during this time. Sending best wishes to him and his family at this tragic time from an Ipswich supporter. Football pales into insignificance when something like this happens
horrible thing to happen, really makes you appreciate how lucky most of us are as we go through life;
I just woke up to this absolutely tragic news about the death of Liam Manning's son. My thoughts go out to him and his family for their loss of their son and I wish them all my best wishes at a time that nobody wants to endure. Liam and his family will need all the time it takes to get over such a tragedy and I know all Bristol City hearts are with him and his family.
Condolences to your manager and his family. I can't imagine what it's like to lose a child. It's not what you expect from life.
Terrible news, football pales into insignificance at times like this. All the best to Liam and his family.
What an absolute tragedy, my thoughts are with him and his wife at this very difficult time. My parents lost my sister aged 2 in 1971, as some have said, you never expect to bury your kids.
RIP young Theo Nobody should have to go through what LM and his family are going through. My sincere condolences.
I can’t imagine anything more terrible than the loss of a child. Deepest condolences to all the Manning family. RIP little one.
Such terrible news. It's the sort if thing you can't imagine or understand unless you have experienced it. Football means nothing in such situations. Sincere condolences to Liam and his family.
My thanks go out to all of the other club's supporters who have posted in response to the death of Liam Manning's young son. The game takes a back seat on occasions like this and it just goes to show how sad personal events need to take their priority in life. Thanks again one and all.
