There will be a seminar on Tuesday, 13 December given by two of the teams at CERN searching for the Higgs Boson. They will be delivering their findings seperately. This may be so important that the news may leak out early.

The have been analysing the masses of data produced by proton - proton collisions up to the end of October.

This could well have a massive positive impact on our results. I now fancy a great run throughout December.

Stable ion beams at the moment as well <ok>

Come on Reds. Do it for Lucas!

The future is bright. The future is RED.

It's been said that if the Higgs exists, then it's mass must fall between 2 extremes - a high & low point if you like.

So far in their experiments, they're about 80% of the way though these possible atomic weights, and no sign of the thing.

The universe it seems, is a lot more complex than our current understanding allows.

apparently so is lucas' knee... how do you know this thing is pro liverpool...... really? I mean that tackle was a collision wasn't it? did lucas make higg's bosons himself? or did a micro black hole form in his ligaments

It's not as simple as that. There may be 5 types of Higgs. If there is no Higgs, there's no supersymmetry (Susy) which knackers up quite a lot. Let's wait until the 13th.

Up here for thinking... down there for the hammerhead yeah? unless you admit you think with your.....

no i think lucas is so hard he created a micro black hole that not only sucked in his cruciate ligament but the entire stamford bridge crowd too... notice how silent and empty the home end looked?

It's energies, Jonesey. Not atomic weights. Sorry to be a pedant <ok>

Lucas is in regereration mode. As he said himself, he'll come back stronger than ever to achieve the things he wants to in a LFC shirt. He is 'becoming'.

The Higgs Boson is apocryphal- like the Hammerhead.

The Hammerhead is very, very real, as I will demonstrate to SKY when he finally gets up here on the piss. The Hammerhead is a 'Red Giant' <yikes>. I believe the Higgs is real as well.

Ah, but we've only got your word for it. And to be honest, that's the limit of my investigative ambition on the matter.
We'll have to wait for sky to report on the veracity of this claim.
As for the Higgs- there are other theoretical models that can live without it so you never know. It may well be true- elusive little bugger though ain't it?
Anyway, what are you doing with a shark in your kecks?

ahh thats relieving news, now we dont have to worry about not winning this weekend. :)
On another note, did something go wrong the other day? Could that be why Lucas is injured?

Out of interest, would it be possible to actually prove that the Higgs does NOT exist? If they ever do that, surely itll be just as big news as if they do find it, if not more

SKY will explain. In short, it's not a shark. I have a capacious foreskin which is required to accomodate my organ when engorged with blood. When the foreskin is held between each thumb and forefinger and pulled sideways, it resembles the head of a hammerhead shark.

    THIS is The Hammerhead <yikes>

There probably weren't stable beams in the LHC.

It was a feeble attempt at humour- I have read your previous missives on the....thing.
My concern is that sky has volunteered to go on the piss with someone who has threatened to flop it out at him. I fear for his sanity.

That is correct. To be frank, many scientists think it will be more exciting if they don't find it, as that will f..k the standard model up totally - back to square one. <yikes>
