You might remember that before the General Election, there were various numbskulls (like Carol Vorderman) favouring tactical voting to wipe out the Tories. What actually happened was that Tory voters, disgusted at their own MPs, stayed at home or voted Reform. So we ended up with a totally useless Tool in 10 Downing Street who has proved in less than 100 days that he is incompetent and even incapable of running a bath unless Lord Alli is turning the taps. Witness the race to be the next leader of the Conservatives. When the race got down to the last three candidates, James Cleverly led with 39 votes. The candidate that was eliminated was Tom Tugendhat. In the final MP vote to get down to just two candidates, Cleverly was eliminated as those that tactically voted to try and eliminate Kemi Badenoch got their numbers completely wrong and it was their man that came in third while the two right wing candidates, Robert Jenrick and Kemi Badenoch, now go forward to the Party membership vote. Which of Cleverly’s supporters consulted our Carol? Even MPs are stupid enough to think that tactical voting ever works – vote for what you think you want (even though you won’t get it).
