I'm a big fan of those workwear/shacket shirts. Picked up a couple in Primark of all places, Forest green and dark brown My little un says I look like the bloke out of Red Dead Redemption so that must cool. I had my eye on another one in gold/wheat sort of colour from &sons, but it was like £120
**** it, it's a treat to me. I will have a look though, I sell enough on there but rarely buy for myself.
The cable knit is brown, went for that over grey. The work shirt burgundy is definitely autumn. Bought some new autumnal chinos last week too.
I got some Karrimor walking trousers from Vinted, in a kind of sage/light brown colour. They look like chinos but are super lightweight £8 for two pairs.
I almost pulled the trigger as a b'day present to myself last year on that &sons shirt, but couldn't justify the £100+ price tag Very nice shirt though.
I buy these. Mountain Equipment Ibex. They are absolutely ****ing brilliant, bomb proof, versatile, comfortable, great fit, quick drying, they don't rip/snag. Got three pairs, my old black ones are for painting and gardening, got newer black and grey. Ideal golf trousers too, perfect for **** weather and warm. I think they're about £70. Honestly, trust me, you won't look back. They'd be great for cycling too I reckon.
Cool, I'll check them out. Cheers I tend to put on a pair of Columbia waterproof trousers when it's hammering down on the bike, but as you'll know, tech gear that is waterproof isn't that breathable and gear that is breathable isn't that waterproof. There's a happy medium somewhere, but I'm more inclined to go for a pair of quick drying fabric trousers for the bike now days. Been through all sorts of iterations of waterproof bike gear, and the bottom line is, you don't stay dry. You'll either get wet eventually from the rain, or from your own sweaty bollocks and arse crack.
I've got a pair of awesome waterproof trousers for walking. Ridgeline, I think they are marketed at hunting and fishing folk, but they are the most breathable and comfortable hard wearing waterproof trousers I've ever had. They are also soft to the touch so they don't sound like two nylon shopping bags rubbing together. Worth checking out for those of you who like to get out in the filthy stuff.
My brother wears them all year round, and he's neither. Not for me though, soon as it gets a bit autumnal I'm back in longs, unless I'm doing some sport or other. Played squash Friday evening and my legs are still lovely and brown too.
