3-3, canny point against the league leaders but I reckon Mel will be disappointed after being 1-3 up.
Skunkesses lose to a Mollie Lambert (Ex-Sunderland) goal for Durham in the 89th minute. Interesting game next week. I've got my 3 tickets. Although Newcastle are 3 points ahead of us, their only wins this season were against Portsmouth and Sheff Utd, who are the bottom 2, both with 0 points from 5 games. Portsmouth have only scored 1 and conceded 17. After a poor first 2 games, we are starting to find some form and I fully expect us to win next week, as long as we play the game not the occasion.
Extra Black Cat point might add a few to the attendance. Be great to see a good sized crowd celebrating a Derby win.
We are making a bit of a day of it and trying the the Calibash tree in the sheepfolds. watching us yesterday I think we can really take the game to Newcastle
Over 11k sold for the Derby https://x.com/SunderlandAFC/status/1843683153107660972?t=8zGw0l3GIX5eDE5wHbbFHA&s=19
I'm conflicted as to who to support in the women's game, I'm a Sunderland supporter through and through but from County Durham through birth, so who do I support? Durham or Sunderland?
