Draw this evening and I'm excited ROI haven't been in a tournament since 2002.This would be my dream draw:

    Poland
    England
    Greece
    Rep of Ireland

I would fancy Ireland and England to get out of that group

    worse case scenario:

    Spain
    Germany
    Portugal/Croatia
    Rep of Ireland

    'nuff said

Who would be your dream draw?

My dream draw would be to have Scotland actually in the draw.

Knowing us mind we'll finish bottom after three goalless draws. I'll take getting out of the group, I think that's as good as we are. Anything else is a bonus.

In ROI's case we are just happy to get there so for us anything else is a big bonus

<diva> but when you look at the teams in the draw any group is going to be very difficult

I know some English and Irish fans wish nothing but ill on each others national teams, (same with all the celtic nations really) but I can't help but find myself hoping they all do well. Obviously I want England to do well but I always think all the British and Irish teams bring something to a major tournament. All the home nations have terrific colourful support for a start.

I think I'm becoming a bit of a rarity though. I'm still very patriotic about England, and still believe in Great Britain and Ireland. I love it when the Lions go on tour in rugby. I think you get something a little different from each nations players, its a great mix of ferocity and passion. Hopefully we can have another Italia 90 where both nations lit up the tournament.

For England I'd like: Poland, Croatia and Denmark
For Ireland: France (revenge!), Greece and Ukraine.

May start thinking about scraping together a few pennies and try and get to the tournament. The sad thing is if the GAA got their act together whem the co Ireland/Scotland bid was put in, and ended Rule 24, there is a good chance the tournament would have been here <wah>

    Spain, England, Portugal, Ireland

Revenge over the Portugese, tasty match up with the Irish, big game against the Spanish, what's not to love. If we could win a group like that we should win the tournament

I see your thinking, lets ourselves and Ireland dispose of Spain at an early stage. Cunning plan that might just work.

This will leave only the Germans. And the Dutch. Maybe the Italians, Portugese and French too. Bastard, we can't win again can we.

German's to win it for me,thats where my money will be going!!

As for who I am going to support, thats a tough one. I will support the side with the most toon players representing them. Looks like I might be a Frenchman next summer then!!

Agree entirely, I don't understand the bitterness at all, and the 'English media make everyone hate you' line is ****ing bollocks! I love it when all 'local' teams do well in any sport! Can't wait to be heading to the pub and switching between my England and Ireland shirts all summer!

I'll also be cheering on the French if Cabaye is in the pitch (if he keeps getting more game time, Ben Arfa might be involved AND I'm still hoping Giroud is on his way to the Toon!)
