Thank you! We were fairly lucky. No power (and we're on well water so that means no running water) for awhile, but no damage to the house/property. Wooded area, so lots of trees fell, but nothing hit anything bad. I have coworkers still without power/internet- one had his car taken out by a tree- several had house damage... I was lucky. Taking a long time to clean up from all the crews here.
Good to know you are ok mate. Big pain in the arse having no electric or running water, but as long as you, family and the roof over your head are safe, that's the main thing. I suppose your vehicle becomes your only power source once you lose everything, unless you can hook up to a generator.
I always liked to read the Kent local paper and quite some months back they introduced pop up advertising - I have an adblocker, but occasionally it will stop you viewing until I turn the adblocker off, which is fair enough I thought because it is free. They also like most newspapers advertise subscriptions, but Kentonline has always been free....until about a week ago, it started blocking me unless I took out a discounted subscription for the year, about £30 at the discounted price. I thought it's going to lose a lot of readers which will affect their advertising sales if they are doing this, which is also annoying because I think, come on make up your mind, what is it advertising or subscription, because if I pay I don't still want to be bombarded by adverts. Anyway today during the pop up I noted it said something about how many times I read the paper...which then instantly prompted me it's the cookies they place on my laptop, so went to settings, remove said cookie, no adverts, no subscription demands.
Yea been going every year since 2015 (minus the COVID years) to hang with my gramps and do family stuff
Useless train ****ers, another one cancelled, puts an extra hour on my morning, at least once a week every week. If they're not cancelled, they're late Bunch of tossers
Morning - working from home - always try and avoid going into London on Mondays if I can - so likely in the office Tuesday and Thursday...
