3-2 Brighton FT. Absolutely disgusting 2nd half performance. Defensive shambles, particularly from Udogie, who had a mare. Far too many players out there feeling sorry for themselves and not doing anything to turn the momentum around. Postecoglou's subs were late, poor and he stood there looking mildly annoyed for most of it, too. Awful.
From what we’ve seen so far this season in the PL, we are gonna probably end up finishing somewhere between 6th and 9th if we’re being realistic. There’s quite a few teams that look better than us, and there’s bound to be a couple of others that find more consistency to capitalise on our erratic style. Time to get really serious about the Europa, IMO.
The lack of backbone in that team is astounding. With the look on Ange's face I suspect the dressing room will be an interesting place....
Your manager reminds me of Hasenhuttl. Go from the sublime to dogshit with very little in between and often in the same game. The ultra aggressive press can lead to some really exciting football where you'll blow teams away but equally can lead to you completely falling apart when something goes against you. On the plus side chaps at least your squad isn't poor enough that you'll suffer two 9-0's.
Why ?? He picks them, knowing at least all that we know. I suspect he is a manager who does not instill the necessary level of fear in a player who shows incompetence or no spine (in the case of Werner, no doubt some players think the manager does not have the guts or luxury to make an example of players by his squad selections) .
Genuinely wouldn’t blame Spence if he slaps in a transfer request. To not get on the pitch after that horror show from Udogie, whilst also being cut from Europa as ****cunts like Werner continue to get regular minutes, it’s ****ing abysmal management.
